Me and my friend have been wanting to make a board game of advwars for some time now, maybe we try to start making it again

Making a balanced game is quite difficult (that's why we love Advance Wars so much of course! ;o) but maybe you can try looking into the rules of some existing tabletop games, and try to adjust the Advance Wars game mechanics to get a good mix?
