  • I wish all youtube video to have this quality

  • By the way, Ovie was never suspended for the slew foot. So he didn't "do his time". Apparently u keep thinking he got a suspension. Happy to educate you my friend.

  • fuckin bullshit ovechkin does worse slewfoots and doesnt get shit cause hes the face of the league

  • @AnaheimDucks39 He was suspended, dumbass.

  • @AnaheimDucks39 When? Give me one example of Ovechkin slewfooting

  • @hockeymatt1994 peverley

  • @buttkick22 He took a penalty and suspension for that you dumbfuck. Try another

  • @hockeymatt1994 "@anaheimDucks39 When? Give me one example of Ovechkin slewfooting"........Whose the "dumbfuck" again? Clearly reading comprehension isn't ur strong point junior. I understand that he said he gets away with it. But ur statement isn't challenging that, it's challengind whether Ovechkin has ever slew foot or not. Clearly at the time of writing that you were unaware of his previous infraction. Nice try...

  • @buttkick22 Clearly intelligence is not your strong point. Personally, I dont believe that was a slewfoot. Peverly interfered with Ovi, and got his ass kicked. But, even if you do believe it was a slewfoot, he did his time. ONCE

I meant to add in a "and didnt get shit" after that comment. Slipped my mind. But it still stands. Ovi has had ONE incident with slewfootin, but now he does it all the time and gets away with it? ooookay

  • @hockeymatt199 slewfooting someone is kicking someone's ass? And i never said he does it all the time and gets away with it. All i did was provide u with an answer to ur question...You might not think it was a slewfoot but everyone else hockey related did. The league, Colin Campbell, and every analyst. I'll take their word over urs. Cheers.

  • @buttkick22 He was standing in front of him, Ovi tried to go around him, Peverly pretty clearly tried to stop him, and got upended. Technically a slewfoot, maybe. But Peverley had as much to do with it as Ovi. Like I clearly said, thats my opinion. You can disagree, but he served his time regardless

If Colin Campbell and the league said it was a slewfoot, how the hell can you claim he wasnt suspended. He got 2 games, and served them

Im not your friend you dumbass. Go back to school retard

  • @hockeymatt1994 Oh boy are u about to feel real stupid. Ovie was never suspended 2 games for the slewfoot. He was only fined. It even says so on the description of the vid of the obvious slewfoot that you've already commented on several times bahahaha. Thank you for proving just how ignorant u truly are. If ur gonna be childish enough to throw insults over something as stupid as a hockey vid on youtube, you should prolly know ur shit first. Whose the retard again? Happy to educate u junior.

  • Его точно надо на олимпеаду!-)

  • All slew foots should be suspended. Not just the rank and file players...... hold the superstars accountable too, even if it's Crosby or Ovechkin.

  • @SelfAccountable malkins even worse with them

  • @SelfAccountable yes, up to a point. i mean, obviously don't suspend a boston player if they slewfoot someone. (or for anything else they do.) but suspend most teams' stars.

  • Watch Live NHL Games >>> watch-nhl-hockey-live.blogspot . com

  • Nice frigging Ducks footage at the end where they caption DIRECTLY OVER the slewfoot.

  • TSN added the caption and voice over, they just added it to the Duck's feed.

  • This league has become pathetically soft. That wasn't even worth 2 minutes.

  • Are you serious JoshDone? Seriously? You think that play was 'soft' ? and legal? Slew-footing has ALWAYS been frowned upon in this league, going back many many decades. And it typically results in a suspension.

  • That was a dirty hit!

  • C'mon, the fuck the Announcer is saying, on the last replay, you can see that Miskanen's head is not hitting the ice, Like the guy under me said, 2 minutes penalty, but not a 3 games suspension. Okay the nhl wants to protect their players, but c'mon....we don't have to exagerate.

  • Whether or not Niskanen's head hit the ice is irregardless --- what matters is the action of the offending player. Clearly, this meets every definition of a slew foot. It should have been called a major 5 min penalty in the game. However, the suspension length was fine.

  • FKN lame that was a good hit...maybe a 2 minute penalty but 3 game suspension...fk that.

Hey NHL, Pronger is gone stop punishing the Ducks for his dirty plays...will you ever let that reputation die?

  • A slew-foot is serious because alot of times, especially if its done in open ice, a player can smack the back of his head on the ice.

They're just dirty and show an intent to injure instead of a clean hit. Not the worst slew foot i've seen, but a slew foot nontheless

  • slewfoot, never heard of that. its just slashing from behind )))

  • 3 games!!!! WTF. A hard slash is worse than that, and all someone gets is 2 minutes.

  • but the NHL protects its stars like Ovie and Syndey. if a guy like Steve Ott or Sean Avery punch a guy in the nuts, they get suspended and labeled scum. but Crosby does it and its just a fun video to watch...

  • Booooooooohoooooooooooo.

    2008-2009 Stanley Cup Champs.

    Suck on these balllllllllls.

  • Crosby is gay, just a little baby... Don't diss him or he could cry!

  • plus people get highsticked all the time with minimum injuries, but if a guy used extreme force and highsticked him resulting in the guy having to get surgery or something then dont u see a difference?

  • its usually an intent to injure thing, and thats actually why he is suspended, so my head doesnt need to get shaked. PLUS niskanen had already gotten rid of the puck when he went down, but ovechkin and peverley were fighting for the puck.

  • thank you very much 856744, both slewfoots and both are dirty

  • PALL98... You are a fucking retard, Ovechkin clearly kicked out his feet and is one of the dirtiest players in the league plain and simple

  • wow get real, the league is turning into a bunch of pussies, and ovechkin's leg didnt even touch peverly's leg, theres just more wimps today, and idiots who suspend ppl for using their strength

  • Ovie did the same thing last night against Atlanta, got called for a trip. Did he get suspended? No, but he got fined. It just shows how the league is still after the Ducks, especially with penalty calls. I thought once Pronger left we might get some fair calls. Wrong...

  • niskanen was injured on the play, peverly wasnt, end of story

  • agreed. where was the slew foot?

  • If you see Artyukhin's right foot just before the hit (you can't actually see him kick Niskanen's foot) but you can see the motion and he connects with Niskanen's right foot

  • Ovechkin will NOT be suspended by the gutless Colin Campbell. Same type of penalty, same punishment.

  • not really, here as you can see nisk didnt have the puck, therefore it is fair to suspend artyukin, but in the ovi case, he was just tryin to bump Peverley to get the puck. its kinda different due to the cirumstances of each player

  • Correct me if im wrong..But i didn't think it was an ugly tackle... Sure he got injured in the head i think, but a 3 game penalty and a fine of like $ 40 000 dollar (as they say in swedish media) it's a little bit to hard... 2 min for tripping maybe, because he put his leg behind Matt so that i fell butt no more!!

And as i said correct me if im wrong!

  • fact of the matter is that it wasn't a clean check. he kicked out his foot on purpose, which is an illegal and dirty play

  • Lamborghini, it doesn't look that ugly, but a slew-foot (as it should have been called by the refs on the ice) is so dangerous precisely because of what the result was: Niskanen essentially landed headfirst, and wound up getting a head injury.

  • Because a slew-foot very often has the opposing player falling backward with his feet up in the air, he's much more likely to have his head hit the ice than a clean hit.

  • Its called "Slewfooting" there is a specific penalty for this in the rules as it is a particularly dangerous play. He probably would have been hurt worse if he were not near the wall, as it probably slowed is fall speed and prevented him from falling directly on his head even worse. It is quite possible to break your neck on a play like this because your legs are kicked out while your upper body is pushed backwards. Its not just the legs, its the legs plus the push.

  • It is not just a specific penalty but an automatic match penalty (which usually guarantees a suspension)

  • we used to do that off draws when i played juniors... but i don't think i've ever seen a player do it in a game, nor along the boards... looked violent, but 37k in salary and 3 games is a bit harsh

it is a match penalty as someone else said, and right in front of the ref... kind of hard to call, but he needed to be EJ'd

  • Im not totally gonna say your wrong, but it is kind of ugly. but only cuz he went after him when he didnt have the puck and it looked to me as if he intended to lift him up. But its really opinionated right.

  • Good one sniper. Good one.

  • Thanks for the upload, wanted to see this incident. The quality is good. :)

  • Evgeny Artyukhin, You need to score lots of goals like Evgeni Malkin before Colin " HEAD PUSSY" Campbell will overlook you slew foot infractions. Besides, Malkin has a more practiced, slew footing technique.

  • Ovechkin does, too. But he would never get suspended for it, would he?

  • hard to believe there was no call on the ice by the refs

  • Typical ANUS heim play.
