  • no problem viper. keep the great lessons coming. about to tune in to a few more now..!!

  • Hi Viper? Are you in Hong Kong? I am an Australian in Hong Kong trying to learn Cantonese and your English is obviously very good and you seem like a very good teacher? Any chance of being a tutor?? It would however be for the love of it as my wife earns the money and its hard to get it off her..!! thanks, Daniel

  • @beardan76 I'm in Japan....good luck

  • from 38 seconds to 52 he is saying sup to his children

  • @twinklypoop good one. haha. I have 9 kids all sequentially named after the one's digit.

  • thanks :D

  • Thanks, trying to pick up canto. I have never been able to speak to my grandma and I want to before she dies.

  • @Skipper242424

    Same here.

  • Very, very good!...Dor jer.

  • Thank you for uploading! Been trying to pick up canto but haven't had much resources.

  • Hahaha, is this still a problem? I was CLEARLY making fun of whoever said she was African-American in their comment, because how relevant is that to anything? i.e., why I decided to include random information about religion/race. Secondly, the sound and image do not match up, therefore making it very difficult to figure out how to pronounce certain things, given the ambiguity with most phonemes. My English and mental capacity are perfectly fine. It's ok if you guys can't pick up on sarcasm.

  • great video.

More video on phrases please =)

  • This is really dumb, but my boyfriend is Jewish and I'm Hispanic Catholic and so this was really helpful. But ain't nobody learning Cantoneze from this shytt

  • @LeCortegeFunebre What are you trying to say? First, you said it was dumb and then really helpful and then followed by useless. How many ways can your contradict yourself? LOL. Anyway, other people are learning how to count in Cantonese from this. Other than being mentally inferior to other viewers, I don't see how you can't learn to count from this. Thanks for watching, anyway.

  • @tkviper i for one found this video to be extremely helpful. i am hapa (half white, half japanese hawaiian) and i have had a lot of trouble finding videos for beginners. @LeCortegeFunebre you're a retard, eat a dick. also this video succcckssss

  • @LeCortegeFunebre I think you are just very ignorant! I am a Cantonese speaking 100% Chinese Jew. First of all religion has nothing to do with learning any language. Obviously, you need to go back to school for English.

  • @LeCortegeFunebre It is very apparent that you are ignorant. I am a Cantonese speaking 100% American born Chinese Jew. First of all, religion does not have anything to do with learning any language, unless of course you're reading scripture. Secondly, as many can see, you obviously need to go back to school to relearn ENGLISH!

  • Thank you !!!

  • Thanks a lot for uploading your videos, my dad speaks Cantonese and my mom speaks Teochew. However, I meet a lot of Cantonese people, and listen to the way they speak although my dad does not teach me the language or talk to me on daily basis. So, I think that I will just learn from youtube and from you. Thks a lot! keep uploading more videos on daily-life situation so I can learn extra Cantonese words. bye

  • very helpful lesson. thanks alot

  • This has been really helpful for me. My husband is from Hong Kong and I'm African -American and it is hard to find lessons for beginners. what do you think is the best way to study?

  • @ltlee1 Talk to your husband and go for immersion as much as you can.

  • @ltlee1 speak only cantonese with your husband at home as often as you can. that is the best way. even if you don't understand everything at first but slowly you will learn. And watch movies and TV.

  • Wow; I never knew about that "a" shortcut! (Where I live, in Japan, we don't have that... 60 is 'roku-juu' and 63 is "roku-juu-san" with no shortcut.) How do you write the "a"? We have a shortcut for 二十 and 三十, which are 廿 and 卅, but nobody born after WWII uses those very much.

  • @heiankyo794 thanks for watching my lessons. I live in Japan too. よろしく。I will probably come out with an iphone app for cantonese learners. Please support my apps by telling your friends in Japan. url is iplay dot wkode dot com.

In cantonese we write it the same way 廿 and 卅

  • @06033970 wow.... what makes you feel the need to be so rude? His Cantonese is just fine and I'm a native Cantonese speaker (HK)

  • @telecake don't bother with 06033970; he's obviously got some mental problem; or he's just an a-hole trying to get attention. Thanks for commenting.

  • This seems too difficult, I don't quite follow. And somewhere in the beginning the lipsync got off, and it was even harder to understand. If you don't mind, I'll check the next lesson before this one :)

  • please read the info section on the right side. I wrote down everything there. Sorry sometimes youtube doesn't sync audio properly. Good luck.
