472 doesnt seem that big. but it is running alcohol so idk . how much horsepower does the alcohol really give it over gasoline? my truck has a 350 in it an has roughly 230 horses. what would be the difference in power if i could somehow modify it to run alcohol?

@Kinkryder8 you wouldn't gain much power on a mild engine like that. You would need to remap your fuel injection and probably get larger injectors and fuel system, because engines need much more alcohol than gasoline to burn properly. Alcohol burns much colder and has a much higher octane than gas, so it makes it better for radical engines such as this one, allowing you to run more timing, compression, and/or boost. Only good for competition engines really, it has its drawbacks.

Awesome engine! Sonney Leonard makes mountain motors with this horsepower naturally aspirated. I couldn't believe my eyes. Hemisperical heads of course and almost 900 cubic inches. That's what it takes though to make 2000 hp when you don't use a supercharger or turbocharger.
