As a kid I liked this song for the melody only. Later I learned english and began to understand the lyrics. A monument for the elephant! We humans are so ignorant about our planet and all the creatures on it. We were the last species to appear and we are the real beasts.

When I was about 4yr old, in 1958, I gave an elephant an apple core thru her cage bars (at Taronga Zoo in Sydney) .. she gave me back a trunk full of straw, all she had to give! She has actually given me more than she'd ever have known - a life-long memory & an everlasting love of Elephants! I'm happy to say that elephants at the Taronga Zoo now have much better 'natural' enviroments in which to live! I'm going to try a vid like this! :)
