I was there! How cool was it that Jason climbed the billboard above the stage during one song? Those were such great times for music in Nashville. I miss Cantrell's!
I was there! I was a freshman at Vandy (Curry Hall in Kissam quad, anyone?) and remember how thrilling it was to run down to Cats Records with some beers (to drink, not pour on others) and rock out to Jason and the Scorchers. Great memories.
OK, one more who was there. I was a junior at Vanderbilt at the time. I remember being slightly disappointed in the sound system in use. What did I expect from a makeshift stage like that?
Slompappy: I was a "frat boy" at the time, but I've never poured beer on anyone intentionally so I believe I'm safe.
I was there! Two friends and I got there at about noon and watched the Scorchers soundcheck. I had a Nikon 35mm with me at the time and got some awesome photos. You can see me at about 2:17 in front of Jason. Incredible show.
I was there too. If I remember, The Movement and The Sluggers opened. Crowded parking lot, people everywhere and beer cans blanketing the ground. . . Heaven!!
i have such vivid memories of this night>we were 17 yeas old and prob the youngest group in the audience.this fucking Vandy frat boy poured beer all over us for a laugh>we were intimidated we didn't do anything about it and that is one of The great regrets of my life>
i still remember his face and if i ever come across that guy there is going to be Fight.i might not win the fight but there will be one.
