  • this guy is an idiot if you couldnt stop in time you were going to fast and following to close im sure your at fault and should pay him. this is a perfect example why these cycalist should needa special license to ride the streets. if a small child would have got out you would have killed her.it was plain as day they pulled over to let some one out. if you were on a motorcycle you would have stop just like a car this shows you 10 speed idiots dont obey the laws of the road

  • to my knowledge passing on the right side is illegal.

  • what did the cyclsit do wrong? He was cutting traffic, which is fine in my opinion. And the passanger opens the car door without paying attention, and then the car drives off. You cant bitch and cry and cycles for cutting traffic one moment then cry when they hog the middle of the road; its and either or situation. The cyclist did nothing wrong here.

  • Looks like you were doing a pretty good clip at the time too, lucky you are okay.

  • bikers should have to have insurance, have a registration on the bike, have all their info on them. you're an idiot for cutting around traffic on the right side

  • FREAKING OUCH!!!!!!!

  • i guess every1 on utube is a fukin genius

  • BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH FUCK MAN I WOULDA KICKED SOME MEGA CAR DOOR AFTER THAT

  • You went on the side most likely to have a door opened. the car wasn't stopped at an intersection, you ran the risk. You deserve fuck all from this guy, your an idiot...

  • @brook316 The car was stopped at the intersection, and illegally let the passenger out. It is absolutely not the cyclist's fault.

Glad that the cyclist was OK.

  • That must of hurt?!

  • guys hes NOT on a motorcycle. hes on a bike, like no engine. i feel like ppl may not be realizing that.

  • that was the bikers fault anyway

  • Biker should have produced his insurance info

  • The law in this case is the same as those accidents involving being hit from behind. The driver doing the hitting is at fault. The biker in this case should not have been passing on the inside.

  • I don't think this is an issue with undertaking the car. The car is in the lane with other traffic at a red light, and appears to be driving through, not dropping off passengers. The cyclist had no warning that a door would be opening! It is customary for cyclists to keep right and pull up to the crosswalk and wait at a red light, like all other traffic. At least in California, cyclists legally have EVERY RIGHT to the road that motored vehicles do, and both are governed by the SAME laws.

  • @simplyxblonde So many motored vehicle drivers think they can do whatever they want. Well, there are laws they have to follow! You better believe that its illegal to let passengers out of your vehicle while in a lane of traffic (not parked). I am going to do some research.

  • @simplyxblonde he was going too fast though if you watch the full video you can clearly see this

  • @Incorected I did watch the entire video. Several times, in fact. And no, it is not clear. Where do you get this "he is going too fast" business from??

  • @Incorected If he is under the posted speed limit and able to safely make stops at intersections, he simply isn't going too fast! Cars and bikes are not subject to different speed limits!!

  • @simplyxblonde i never said they were?

  • Pwned!

  • Mate you are not going to pretend you are surprised that happened, and if your not surprised then you tell me why did it happen, russian roulette has losers and that one luck wasnt on your side, agree ???

  • its not right (as far as i know) to pass a car on the right. + you're going waay too fast

  • pitty you were not killed

  • @MrThissucks977 pitty your still breathing child.

  • why did you try to go past a gap that tight so fucking fast would of probably prevented this situation if you went a bit slower

  • No. You shouldn't have been undertaking the car. The highway code was produced for a reason. Not only that, but as a cyclist you should practice defensive driving being the most vulnerable of road users instead of this bullshit attitude that motor vehicles should look out for YOUR safety.

  • @mjrtom102 If its illegal for everyone else to do it why can you lot?

  • @Steeshuk And by you lot i mean cyclists!

  • You shouldn't have been undertaking the car.

  • Yeah that was 50/50. You need to slow the fuck down if you're going through a tight gap to.

  • My opinion:

    - the taxi should have pulled right up to the curb with either the Hazards or indicators on.

    - the cyclist should have tried to OVERtake not UNDERtake (which is illegal btw)

to be honest, it doesnt matter which way you look at it, they are both at fault for different things, but the taxi driver running off is just too much to ignore.

  • You were lucky. I'm glad the driver paid you for the damage. For ignorant douches like tixmastr: the cyclist did not break the law in any way. I don't know where this was filmed, but it is perfectly lawful in most U.S. states to pass a car on the right if you are on a bike. However, I do think that passing to the left would have been much safer, even if it means getting yourself further into the street.

  • BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

  • You had more than enough time to stop - maybe you should pay more attenion and NOT undertake. It is your own fault.

  • @tixmastr how do you have the nerve to do that? all the dick head car drivers are atfault, his breaks are so much more responive then a bikes, so it was the cars fault, and anyway, can you just stop on a main road? i dont think you can dumbass!

  • @tixmastr You just had to look before you open the door! I think it was a Bike messenger and thats just his job to ride as fast as possible!

  • @tixmastr well looking before you swing open the door is not a hard things todo and would have stopped this from even being on youtube yes i agree there is some idiot cyclist out there but there is also idiot drivers and passenger and sometime nether party does the simple checks that could make things safer for everybody

  • Don't know why everyone is going, it's just your fault, yeah you were undertaking at quite a fast speed, but it's also the drivers fault for not signalling saying they've parked, and also the passengers fault for not checking before opening the door. Everyone here is at fault, not just the uploader.

  • I woulda fucked you up for messing up my door you bitch. OVERTAKE not UNDER!

Why speed towards a stopped vehicle in the curb lane anyways?!

IDIOT ASS BIKER TRIES TO BLAME EVERYONE ELSE FOR HIS MISTAKE>

  • You didn't even try to brake!!

  • You were passing on the wrong side of the car. Totally your fault.

  • thats what u get for undertaking

  • i don't know why everybody is against the biger, it's clearly that the passenger/driver of the car was wrong, the car didn't have it's indicator on, it stopped in the middle of the road and the passenger wasn't looking properly.

  • who undertakes like this? seriously? you had it coming

  • @tixmastr The law says before opening the door you should check if anything is coming your way, at least in my country it says so, so it's the car's fault.

  • to be fair to the passenger you shouldnt have been undertaking you dumb ass road cyclist, you twats give mountain bikers a bad name.

  • haha you dumb ass

  • hahahahahahahaha funnies thing ive seen in a while! :-D

  • You're an idiot for overtaking. I was parallel parking the other day, indicating left and reversing lights on when a idiot cyclist tried to squeeze around my car on the left. He stopped and banged on the roof of my car and started shouting. I got out of my car and grabbed his bike. When he realised he was up against a 6' 3'' 16 1/2 stone bloke dressed for a game of rugby he became all apologetic. These cyclists are just bullies.

  • @tt98d

I'd kick you in the dick and piss on your face if you touched my bike.

  • @LaserDoughnutLord

You sound like another cyclist bully and a hard man when hiding behind the internet. I bet your sport is tiddley winks!

  • @tt98d

Hahaha! Tiddley winks? No way man, extreme ironing!

  • Lol The legal way of over taking cars is always on the left u idiot and not by the pavement

  • In his defense, even if he passed on the right side, it happened so fast, that even if he knew what was happening, swerving to the left could have been even worse

  • @tixmastr I dont see what your problem is with how he behaved on the road. where i live, undertaking on a cycle is perfectly legal, it eases congestion on busy city streets.

and the comment 'asshole bikers' is wrong on so many levels.

CYCLISTS, are doing a great job at getting more cars of the road, staying fitter, and making cities nicer places to be, whilst the average joe in his car is contributing to things like pollution, congestion etc is not.

Maybe try being more open minded.

  • @tixmastr If you really believe in what you say, then you shouldn't be sad if one of your family member gets run over by a car while crossing at a red light.

Because, of course, when miss to follow a rule, you deserve to die.

  • if this is in the US, passing on the right side on a bike is illegal if i recall correctly for this exact reason

  • too fast and obviously no regard for his or anyone's safety!cyclists can be realy dumb twats

  • poor colnago indeed. thats what happens when you have more money than sense..

  • I am having a hard time believing you took money from the driver when you were trying to filter between the car and the sidewalk. Nice going.

  • No sympathy for bike in this case. Don't pass parked/stopped cars on the right and this wont happen.

If a cyclist wants to be on the road, the same road we all pay taxes for, then like an automobile start paying for a license and plates every year. Until that happens, I don't accept bikes sharing the road.

  • @OneFitnessGirl Agreed. 100% agreed. I encounter so much of this crap here in the San Francisco Bay Area.

  • What do you mean in the middle of the street? He was in the far right lane! What do you mean it happened to fast and you didn't have time to brake? IT WAS A RED LIGHT ANYWAYS!

  • 100% your fault buddy. Who the hell tries and pass on the right side of a car in the right hand lane?

  • As a fellow road cyclist, and commuter, I believe you appear to be 100% at fault.

You did not follow the rules of the road (splitting lanes), road etiquette (do not pass on the right), and must have been asleep at the handlebars to not think that passing a parking car on the passenger side is some kind of horrendous idea. What the hell do you think they were doing? You deserved that.

  • Yet again another prat on a bike giving the rest of us a bad name!!!!!!!

I hope the people sued you for being so stupid.........

  • it's your fucking fault

  • What's wrong with people on bicycles? Do they become idiots just by riding them?

  • Sorry to see that happen, but that was all you, man.

  • illegal on your part, you're supposed to pass on the outside, not the inside. hope he got you for damage to his car you retard.

  • BAM!

  • Slowing down at that point of passing the car only took a bit of common sense. bikers really do cause problems on the road.

  • @acidparanoia car drivers do to, I've seen my fair share of car drivers doing bad against cyclists too.

  • Comment removed

  • lmao they ran away then he found them again xD

  • yea, that wasn't the bikers fault the person getting out should have checked first

  • @Petrified3 How? Looking out the rear doors imaginary mirrors? Popping their head out the window? Peaking backwards through the rear window? Cars are mean't for the road. Bikers just use them. A car should be able to stop by the curb and open his door without hitting some retard trying to squeeze by quickly.

  • wow you could have hurt someone really bad. what if that was an old women getting out the car. wow slow down you idiot.

  • in the description it says. "the driver acted like he wasn't liable". IT'S BECAUSE HE WASN'T. try to actually know the law before you act all high and mighty. prick.

  • wtf why did he break rule? I wanna know ,mabye its just in my country but bikes have to drive on right side near edge of road--

  • @areyousurethisissafe, @tixmastr i don't know anything about law and order in the field of traffic in the united states or wherever this was taken, but isn't it the most obvious thing in the world to look in the mirror or over your shoulder before you open the door or turn? in germany and other states under the regime of a reliable, intelligent traffic law the rider is absolutely right and not to blame for anything.

  • That was funny as fuck! It should happen more often!! pmsl!

  • That'll learn yu!!

  • @MCTheo3 MAke him learn what?

  • to be fair you should of pulled up behind the car, and not tried to go passed it on either side, I'm a cyclist too, and cars are supposed to give us a car size amount of space when passing us... i make sure there's a car sized amount of space when I'm passing them too for reasons like this (and pricks opening windows to grab at or spit at me because they're so damn funny)

  • Some people really piss me off at least cyclist get off their asses and dont go around like 'im in a car so i am superiour over all cyclists'

  • ha ha ha love it

  • Pahahahaha that is something I have always wanted to do to silly cyclists

  • What the fuck were you doing riding in the gutter like that you idiot?

  • your a twat for trying to overtake on the inside especially when he was pulling up

  • Once again, hippie bicyclists act like they are not doing anything wrong. It's all the motorcar's fault. How about USING YOUR EYES. Situation awareness. herp-a-derp.

Quit speeding around on your 2 million dollar bicycle, and when you come up to a car, slow the fuck down and see if the door will open or not. Don't just go flying by people, then cry when you get hit or yelled at.

I would not have paid this scumbag cycler one penny. Well, I would have paid him a penny. A "pity penny".

  • I think it was the cars fault for not making sure it was safe to open the door, however, you could have avoided it easily by going slower, and predicting that was going to happen. For all the people saying "follow car rules", the point of a bike is to get through traffic and stuff quicker, but the biker should take more care.

  • Another cyclist who doesn't know the rules.

  • it's complaints like this, that make people dislike cyclists ... you were way way wrong and you know it

  • wow that did happen fast

  • So..wait..let me get this straight..you tried to pass on the right, in a parking lane..and...One, you're surprised someone was getting out, Two, you expect HIM to be liable?

You follow car rules..you shouldn't of passed on that side, and quite frankly you didn't deserve shit from that man. That was YOUR FAULT. NOT his.

Next time, follow the rules of the road and maybe you won't get hurt.

  • Never pass on the right, especially when the car looks like it's parking.

  • I'm firmly in the "your own fault" category as well. You were driving irresponsibly and you had plenty of leeway.

  • @ArchibaldClumpy

bollocks to that, they should of looked as they open the door

    its called... USING YOUR EYES....

  • The car stopped in line with the cue of traffic at the light and you passed on the inside. There was no prior indication that the driver was stopping to drop a passenger off and you hit the door as you undertook the car to filter to the traffic light yourself. 50/50 I'd say the driver should have indicated and you should have overtaken to filter instead of attempting to pass along the inside that was barely wide enough anyway.

  • He stopped way too fast for you to realise , that was your mistake. The bigger mistake was to attempt to filter through the inside of the lane. I can see why you might have done it though. He stopped way to quick for you to react and you had the choice either go to the left of the car or the right. In a way , I can see why you chose that side , that car stopped at lights so you werent expecting a person. Second , the right side is far safer in that cars wont try to kill you. A mistake.

  • I'd be after you for the damages to my car. You were the asshole here.

  • Saw that coming, watch for the doors to crack

  • Why the fuck would you even think about overtaking there? You should have to take tests to ride bikes on busy streets.

  • From the sounds... I thought of Marble Hornets...

  • and thats what you get for being an idiot

  • u owe some1 a new door stupid

  • if someone did that to me on my motorcycle EVERYONE would have to line up for face punches

  • @umbravescor if it was me that did it to you i would piss my self laughing and so would the judge for splitting lanes. i see moterbikes do it all the time .......but before you punch me..... you may need to be scraped up off the bitumen after my 33 " tyres would of been the last thing you had contact with

  • Seriously why do all cyclists think they're right? It just baffles me

  • @CrisyFallows because is all about THEM !

  • Comment removed

  • WHO IS STUPID ENOUGH TO TAKE OVER ON THE INSIDE I DONT EVEN DRIVE AND I KNOW THIS SHIT !

  • thats your own fault fucking RETARD!!

  • LOL! teaches you to go on the wrong side of a car.

  • In germany you a right and it is alowed to pass on the insinde.

  • Your fault. Who belts down the inside like that when traffic is stationary. If you were overtaking it would be fair enough but undertaking is a big no no.

  • Definitely your fault. Never pass a car on the inside.

  • your an idiot!

  • of course she is an asian

  • Cool. Shame the cyclist got up again.

  • Doored with the inside door?? Go around the parked cars!!

  • you were liable. I'm a cyclist too and I know not to overtake on the inside. He could have sued you for damage to his car and won.

  • @areyousurethisissafe NOO your wrong its the responsibilty of the person whos inside the car to check for oncoming cyclist.

  • @areyousurethisissafe It was a two way street though, how would he overtake on the outside?

  • @wesKokigen

Derp. There's something over there, on the right, that has no danger at all. It's called A SIDEWALK.

  • @areyousurethisissafe A two lane street.

  • @areyousurethisissafe Then you are a bad Cyclist over taking a car on the inside is fine there was plenty of room they where very close to a junction so how did he not know that they where just waiting for the light? common sence would be that he was in the right, and the passenger is at fault you SHOULD look before opening your doors

  • @harper9393 overtaking a car on the inside is ILLEGAL. It's clear the car isn't waiting at the lights. and at 0.02, the crack in the door appears and the cyclist is far enough out to stop, except he's travelling too fast and too determined to overtake. He's actually not riding with due care and attention. If you can't stop then you're too fast or too close. Just because you feel you;re right doesn;t mean you are. It's also illegal to overtake on a junction, which you seem to be suggesting as OK

  • @areyousurethisissafe wrong read the highway code a cycle can over take on a cars offside which is where he was he was not on the near/inside

  • @nightfox1965 its not the uk not everyone drives on the left

  • @nightfox1965 are you pretending to be dumb? This happened in the USA where people drive on the right. Which means the right hand side is the nearside. The nearside is te side the passenger rides on. The nearside is the kerbside. The side passengers get out on. I can;t believe I'm even wasting time describing this to you. Seriously

  • That's what you get sucker

  • dude you were flying.

  • Door 1 - You 0

  • Way too fast to pass between a car and the kerb.

  • hahhahahahahahhahahahah

  • Sorry but no sympathy for you! Trying to pass a stationary car on the kerbside? Seriously? You had it coming!

  • Passing on the right???

  • I would say this is your fault. He opened the door right next to the pavement.

  • Pathetic reflexes.

  • that is what can happen if you undertake!

  • in Poland the passenger 100% fault, it's the same offense like don't stop on red light. if You get out from the car, you must be sure to don't cause an accident. Next, the cyclist have the same right like a walker and driver, as you see walker don't pay as a driver in gas tax and the cyclist too, so should we kill them all? If you disagree with me, that mean you pay for the law and the right has the one who will pay more... abnormal.

  • Undertaking cretin you got what you deserved. I hope the driver and passenger sue you for mental distress :-)

  • Why were you on a fucking bicycle in the first place? buy a damn car.

  • @paypointpal how can a bike hold you up ?????

YOUR the traffic and we motorbikers and cyclists ride and filter thru your none moving cars

  • @ASHLambretta Lots of cyclists hold me up, either wobbling at traffic lights, making me wait because they decide to sit in front of my car in non moving traffic, riding far out in the road on a busy day, meaning i can't get past.

If bikers are going to hold me up and piss me off, don't go crying to mummy when the front of my car is parked up your ass.

I don't live in a busy area, the only time i get stuck in traffic is when a cyclist thinks hes a car and decides to act like one.

  • @paypointpal

theres safety margins sometimes you need to be far out incase a child runs out between parked cars or cunting bastards like this happend

the push bike fault shouldnt be close and should of overtaken

and if u are up my ass atleast i dont have to balance haha

  • @ASHLambretta I have a Jaguar, do you want a leaping cat up your ass.?

  • @paypointpal Big car, small prick driving it.

  • @nomad8222 Your comment was covered in lovely greeness lol

  • @paypointpal hahahaha everyones going at you now haha i got a screw driver your cat wont be there later be on ebay listed as

leaping jag covered in shit (sorryjag is shit )

  • @ASHLambretta Its funny, the people who can never afford to own one always say that.

(I'm sorry your stuck on a little bike)

And yeah, all the serious cyclists are trying there hand at witty comments, but its ok, i'm getting a good laugh out of all you, so keep them coming. :-)

  • @paypointpal

    THUMB UP :)

    i got a push bike

    3 motor bikes

and a 1955 rat rod so i dont really care

thou these replys from some are shit i dont get the prostitude thing ???

  • @ASHLambretta Haha good for you. lol

  • @ASHLambretta And by the way, i have a 2010 Jaguar XJ, a £5,000 Toyota Aygo as a town car, and a Yamah R1. I'm 20, all bought and paid for, no finance, no company car, no inherited money, just hard work.

So no, my Jag isn't shit, and i won't be told otherwise by some guy i don't even know.

  • @paypointpal arhhh u have a r1 i like you now haha

wouldnt you drive the XJ in town so the ladies can see you ;P lol

  • @ASHLambretta haha, i used to, but i live near 2 holiday towns, it gets really busy in summer, so its a nightmare trying to park my Jag somewhere. lol

I love driving my Aygo though, the 1.0 VVT-i Is surprisingly quick. I just look stupid getting out of it because i'm 6 foot 2. lol

  • @paypointpal After youve finished telling @ASHLambretta how much of a 20 year old winner you are why dont you get a room so you can make sweet love to him all night?

  • @chaptainchaos Sure why not.

You can join in if you feel left out.

Don't worry, the rooms on me.

  • @ASHLambretta Smartass. Bikes and Bicycles HAVE to follow the SAME road laws as a car. Want us to share the road? Follow the law, you are NOT allowed to pass between cars or inbetween two lanes as a "shortcut". This is why us motorists hate cyclists, they think they are above the law.

  • @HeistPvP WHAT LAW u should read up theres no law on filtering its not illegal so you carry on sitting in the traffic as we use what there for filtering

YOU BECOME TRAFFIC you are traffic we are nothing more than brainy for using these items u cba too .

  • @ASHLambretta And then while you "filter" you cause accidents because you're in everyone's blind side. Wait like everyone else, the road is here for motorists, be happy we decided to share it with you.

  • @HeistPvP no your not in the blind spot theres mirrors u can look at you should be aware of everything going on and as above i drive and ride motobikes
