There are 5 companions excluding the C3PO.

Be careful with videos about pets. Imagin that during a big act of the story your bounty is Skadge (pure speculation), and that in the end of the act, you finally catch up with him, and when you're supposed to kill him, big twist: he joins you and becomes your companion.

If you already knew he would become your companion, you've quite spoiled yourself.

Bottomline, just be careful with this.

Greatvideo but some of the information is outdated:

1) No more companion kits at all. Instead, there is direct customization with toggles on all companion abilities.

2) Companion bonuses to crew skills have been removed. BioWare realized it was a stupid idea because it went against chooses a companion for the fun of it.

3) The ship droid 2V-R8 has no combat abilities at all. Just good for crew skils and story.

4) It's Braden, not Branden. :P

@BigMike6074 While we appreciate this updated information, we can only discuss information off BioWare confirmed details that were previously announced to the public. This kind of information must be from BETA seeing as we did not see this floating around anywhere during research. Note that we did speculate that 2V-R8 might not have combat abilities in text during the video. Oh our mistake with the name Braden DOH!

@swtorextreme yes. keyword being **appearance kits** as in they change physically how they look. Combat wise, Georg Zoeller, the lead combat designer in that video explains how you can toggle individual companion abilities and customize how they play.

As for the droid and crew skill's they are from interviews (not in the video) but I know for a fact its true. Trust me I spend way too much time looking up this game =D lol
