I haven't seen it that big in the US. they always cut up the sushi rolls. I can eat tons of sushi too. sushi is sour rice with whatever topping or ingredients you put with it, so your beef sushi is real as well. you can make whatever kind of sushi you want. my mom used to make ham, egg and crab sushi. it was really good.

I've never seen a sushi roll like that! That is neat. Nontraditional sushi is getting pretty popular though in the US. I've seen weird rolls with lemon peel, chili oil, cream cheese, pretty much anything that fits in there. My Japanese dad used to scoff and blah blah tradition, but now he eats them too.

I live in Victoria, and all the fine Japanese restaurants always cut up their sushi. It's mainly the quick or cheap eat Japanese restaurants that sell take-away sushi that sell it at that size.

I love sushi. I love Japanese food in general. The fried meat filled sushi aren't authentic Japanese sushi. A lot of sushi in Victoria are westernised.

your sushi looks a bit big to me, here in canada they can usually be eaten in one or two bites.

but yeah we do have the chicken and beef terryaki rolls, some of my favorites. the tempura rolls are big here though.

But where i go for sushi normally the maki rolls are unusually tall, not so much wide though
