@glamourousgal21 , the mechanism would not stop. As long as there was something in the mouth it would keep "eating" and so it was like your hair being sucked into a machine. From what I heard, it would keep eating your hair until it tore your hair out.

@rubyredmedia It was mainly because kids would get their fingers and hair stuck in the dolls mouth. The problem was the doll didn't have an on/off switch, so unless you undid the backpack and took out the batteries, there wasn't a way to turn it off. What's sad is this could of all be avoided if the dolls just had an on/off switch.

When i was a kid i had (and still have) really long hair and i had one of these dolls and in order to even get it to start chewing on anything i had to put it directly in its mouth.my mom took it away from me after that report of it eating hair(still in the box in the attic) :( you would had to have purposely been feeding it your hair for the doll i had to eat your hair :(
