This forms are pre-choreographed to develop whole body coordination, control and agility. They are for 3 functions - health, self-defense, and mental concentration. Pure fighting can be seen by watching MMA or boxing, which I enjoy watching myself. At this point in my life, I enjoy doing tai chi and using pushes rather than punches so penetration and short range movement is both safe and more close range.

this is terrible to watch.
i suggest you guys watch your own video in slow motion.
none of the hits will connect even if the opposing party's block misses.
youre both afraid of getting hit so much that neither of you are in range to hit.
whats the point of throwing a punch if its gonna miss?
your range is all wrong.

alot of the techniques resemble those from two-man tan tui (although this is a much more complex routine).
