If they were to remake FF1 using these character models like FF4 and put it on the DS, I'd definitely buy it.

If anyone actually payed attention to final fantasy 1, there isn't anyone who resembles this dissidia character.

The Fighter could be considered the closest character, but the fighter was a red colored character, and didnt have a cape.

The model for the Warrior of Light character came from the game's cover, not from any of the actual characters.

He's based on the Warrior artwork, and on that aspect looks exactly like the original designs. Of course the sprite was red, the character sprites had what, six colors between them? And half of them were red.

I thought his character model was based on the character from the CG intro to the PSX/PSP port of FF1? Maybe that was also based on the same artwork.

The only character with a cape was the red mage, but again, the red mage was red.

Another thing is Garland, Garland was the first strong opponent at the Beginning of the game, he was no real boss -and didn't have a dumb pyramid sword-, unless you think of Chaos, but, Chaos was a demonic being, not a man in armor and neither did he have a sword.

Kind of bugs me, don't know about anyone else.

Premoted warrior has a cape. And the default first slot is the warrior class..the cutscene on the PSX/PSP ports show him wielding a sword and shield..he doesnt appear to use any black magic in the game so i think it's safe to say he's the warrior/knight

Garland used a time vortex to set the world in an endless time loop where he became the demon known as Chaos. So technically they are the same thing

His actual sword is inside the giant pyramid sword, it's kinda similar to Clouds new 6 in 1 sword

Indeed, but they did the same with the Onion Knight, and I think he should have been called Luneth, as this is FF3 main character.

I beleive that was only the DS version of FFIII. In the original FFIII I beleive it was the same as the first game....I may be wrong though....never played the original FFIII. ;)

No, you're right. The original FFIII (not very good, being fair) hadn't names. It's just that as FFIII DS it's considered to be "canonical", they should have called OK as its main character... anyway, he doesn't even look like Luneth. Square wants to respect the original one, not the remake. It makes sense, as this game is one big auto-tribute.
