@RyanIsOffended you are right...but jordan didn't think that at the time... jordan had the skill, talent, will and creativity that NONE of the new crop of jordan-like players have. he went for an athletic dunk over a couple of big defenders. his intelligence, athleticism, and creativity worked to avert the percieved block-shot potential. he switched to the other had to avoid the block...the difference between jordan and a lot of his "heilr-apparents" is that his awe-inspiring moves had purpose.

In an interview with MJ, he said he was going for the dunk but thought one of the Lakers was going to jump and try to challenge the shot, so he switched hands to counter that. Very adaptive player with great basketball knowledge, highest skill level, mental toughness, clutch etc.. to do what was necessary to win.
