  • Yes, history is a good teacher.

Can you remember when the world fell into its darkest hours, a time when Well-Armed Paranoid Prejudice ran hogwild across the world? Yes; they were called Nazis.

Thank God for good old-fashioned American courage. Americans didn't mind standing up to those well-armed paranoid prejudiced Nazis and taking their weapons away.

  • @eastariel

NAZIS, a prime example of how very "civilized" people can be maniulated and brain washed by their government. Back then it was only radio and public rallies (mostly). Every time you turn on that idiot tube you get anti-gun rhetoric that is counter to the lessons taught by history....so yes, please, lets follow the example of the Weimar Republic and disarm the people in the name of greater public security...so some dick like Hitler can come later to exterminate unarmed undesirables.

  • @CanadianReich ... so you're suggesting that I don't trust police officers but I do trust you and anyone else with guns? No.

I'll make a deal with you. I'll keep saying No to all the bullies out there. That way, if one of them is like ... the one who must not be named, then I'll try to tie his mind into a pretzel with my words.

So ... know any prejudiced people who are gathering a militia to oppose America's democracy? Our government is doing what they were asked to do by the voters. Claws off.

  • @eastariel

Militias are a general rule do not oppose democracy, they are democracy. They litterally are "the people". They are there just in case the government starts going George Orwellian (1984) on eveyone's butt. For the most part they are merely a gun club with friends that like to shoot- but as the US founding fathers suggest they should keep their eyes out for tyrany too.

No one is saying the government is tyranical, but yours is far from "democratic" too.

  • NRA = National Rat's Ass

I have a message for you.

    You are impotent.

My words can reach across the world and flick a fly off a bull's butt from a billion miles away.

So what can your guns do ... besides be discovered by the children of the people who own them and cause their accidental death?

If you're scared of the world out there, you don't need a gun, little rat butt. All you have to do is use your words instead. Maybe read some books and gain wisdom. That's what Obama did, and he's powerful.

  • @eastariel

You have been brainwashed. You honestly think the government and their arms (army and police) personally care about your safety? Heck man, the main reason to own a firearm is to protect yourself FROM these people. A government's main concern is power and wealth- getting more of it- not doing what their population wants.

You are ignorant of world history my friend, you spit on the graves of millions of dead at the hands of those they trusted to protect them.

  • @CanadianReich I'm no fan of prejudice.

You know the main cause of humanity's darkest deeds? Prejudice.

I personally know a few cops, who also happen to be war veterans. They're peaceful, kind, noble family men.

Please stop grouping individuals into collective conspiracy theories.

And our government? They are simply public servants we've voted into the hot seat. They're just trying to do the jobs they were hired to do. They're people ... individuals. Many of them really love the Constitution.

  • @eastariel

    I said governments- all governments.

    I was paraphrasing Noam Chompsky.

It is governments nature to control, to seek power, to seek wealth- its what they do.

The only people that care about democracy are "the people", as a general rule of thumb.

  • @CanadianReich How do you know what the nature of government is, just because some guy tried to stuff them all into a nutshell?

Sometimes government fails to do its job because citizens don't take personal responsibility over their own lives. Many people can't even control their own eating habits, yet they blame the president for failing to control the world.

Our American government is constantly changing, constantly evolving. Don't get too stuck in history. Look at the present with open eyes.

  • @eastariel

How? Because of the nature of man, all men.

  • @eastariel

I agree with your control thing- the government needs to do as little as possible for people. Its the peoples job to watch their own damn health, their weight, to exercise....but its also their job to ensure their own safety- dialing 911 is for calling a CSI unit and photographer after the fact.

  • Guns feed and are fed by the drug war, which is a global problem. All of the problems in the world seem to be connected by roots of fear, which causes the perpetual blame and shame cycle (which I call the ring of cold fire). I believe the only way to end the drug war is to end all war at once and instead of spending money on weapons, we can spend it on ending hunger, assisting earthquake victims, buiilding schools, and etc. Where the blame and shame cycle ends, personal responsibility begins.

  • @eastariel

You mean "illegal guns feed and are fed by the drug war", right?

I own all kinds of guns, im not in a gang, I dont sell drugs, and I shoot rabbits, deer, and paper targets.

You cant pass LAWS accomplish your goals my friend, all youll do is disarm the law-abiding which in turn emboldens criminals (see South Africa, Canada, armed US vs unarmed US, Australia, Britain for exaples here) causing violent crime to go UP. Genoicde is also always preceded by civilian disarmament.

  • @eastariel

I do agree that ending WARS would be nice, but you need to disarm governments for this, all of them, simutaneously (their military and police). Disarming gangs...good luck, although i wish it were possible.

The main body of people on this planet that should have firearms are the law-abiding God-fearing public, followed by the police, then the military, and lastly criminals and gang bangers. No point in disarming the law abiding unless you can disarm the other groups first.

  • @CanadianReich Personally, I think we're avoiding a very big issue here. Brussel sprouts. Kids won't eat them. We need to make them illegal. Add a little old-fashioned teenage rebellion, and we'll not only make them wildly popular, but we'll also be boosting the gun industry, the prison industry, and the funeral industry.

The only way to disarm the drug wars is to pull the rug out from under their business. Make drugs legal and guns illegal to everyone but cops.

    Outrageous, yes; but it'll work.

  • @eastariel

We are not talking hypothetical here, the facts are already out. We know what works and what dosent. Prohabition- ban alcohol- caused dramatic increase in gangs due to the new market for alcohol. Firearms needed to protect alcohol territory.

Do what they do in parts of europe- all drugs of all types are legal and provided by the state- free needles, etc. The state knows who the druggies, teaches that drugs are bad, provides treatment- and there is no market for gangs to survive.

  • @CanadianReich So you agree with me? You think we need to legalize drugs? I think if we conduct a massive truth-telling campaign on how ugly drugs can be, then that would help kids to make the right choice. That worked for me when I was a kid. Drugs were readily available in my town, but I just said No. I'd heard plenty of ugly stories about them to scare me away from the stuff.

And how I would love to see the drug dealers lose all their customers almost overnight. Europe has a good idea there.

  • @CanadianReich My main objection to guns comes from the children who have died in the crossfire of the drug wars. And many people arm themselves to the teeth because they're frightened of drug gangs, only to have their guns stolen by those gangs.

Also, my son was in kindergarten when the Columbine massacre occurred. That's when I started homeschooling him. For me, the gun issue is not about freedom vs. control. It's just about the kids and their safety.

  • @eastariel

"my son was in kindergarten when the Columbine massacre occurred. That's when I started homeschooling him. "

Teach him how to use a handgun properly and safely, and to take it to school..... he will prevent the next Columbine.

  • @CanadianReich The European example wouldn't work. If America were to legalize drugs, by no means should the government have their hands on those drugs. If people insist on continuing with their addictions (which they do already, regardless of laws), then the suppliers will be subject to the free American marketplace. In that way, nobody can put a leash on people's addictions, and people will outmaneuver the drug gangs by breaking the monopoly.

Any monopoly is unhealthy for American freedom.

  • @eastariel

Im simply saying taking firearms away from the law abiding wont stop criminals, never has. If you want to stop an illegal market you need to make it non profitable- kill the profit you kill the gangs

  • Vote RIGHT in the Republican Primaries, then vote Republican in the general election. That will hurt the UN global gun control agenda.

  • SCREW YOU!!!! Congress has no authority to enter into a treaty with anybody in regards to taking away our rights! You want to stop the US made guns from flowing into Mexico then stop the sale of old military weapons to the highest bidder! They A**holes don't buy these guns from Joe Citizen they are buying them from our military. American Citizens are not allowed to own the type of weapons they are using!

  • If Obama's administration ever ratified a UN treaty that circumvent our constitutional right to keep and bear arms, he'd be impeached. Congress would have no other choice less they wish to sacrifice their careers to back him.

  • @LordAtrocities They haven't bothered to impeach either of the Bushes or Clinton for what they have done, so do you honestly believe a Government official would be impeached?

  • @TheDynamiteGuy - For everything there is a first time.

  • Sporting rifles: Any bolt action that can hold 5 rounds or less without a scope. If it does have a scope it is a "sniper rifle". I also bet handguns are not counted as "sporting". Or any semi-auto. Or .50BMG.

The sad thing is this probably will get a seante vote. Most of the panels are full of anti-freedom zealots. Hopefully the senate will be structuered at that time so that if will fail miserably. Hopefully the dems understand voting for this will put a permanent end to them.

  • I will never give up my guns. This is ridiculous!!

  • if they try to take my guns away, they better come prepared to die

  • Vote Republican, defund the UN

  • They can't have my guns.

  • I don't even know why we're still in the UN, we pay the majority of the money they need and they turn around and spit on us.

Ehhh, and I just know our current governmental leaders would sell our rights out for a diplomatic treaty if they got the chance.

Please support the NRA, they protect our rights!

  • fuck the nwo!
