@rednec97 I know lol. I don't have the truck anymore, also if you notice near the end, the temp gauge was climbing, That particular truck had the world's slowest Temp gauge. The truck was Warm but I had turned it off for about 15 minutes before I filmed this because of an electrical glitch, might explain why the temp gauge was so slow, 3 weeks later the entire instrument cluster had to be replaced because it was shorting out for no reason.
@dopepop Sadly, I cannot remember because I sold the truck over 3 Months ago, Just google Chevy Colorado Performance Chip, I think I got it from like performance direct or something similar, I wouldn't suggest installing one without first changing to higher performance plugs first, The chip will tear the stock plugs up, mine were preignited to death and had to be replaced 3 months after I posted the video.
I am actually selling the truck, I have no use for it anymore and it's costing me to much in gas to drive to school. Also it's a 4 Cylinder so it was never meant to be quick but I don't have a top speed limiter as a trade off.
@abram7117 typically, a small engined truck does WORSE on gas than a Large engined one, Never figured out why but I think it's because you need to use more throttle to get going compared to lets say a V8, I no longer have this truck because of the lack of my using it for it's purpose, so I bought a car, I have a 0-70 vid of it just check my videos
@Inu1294 You would be hard pressed to find a V8 that gets better mileage than these little inline motors (unless it's a diesel of course). I have a Canyon, leveled with all terrains and I average 20mpg, that's driving mostly country roads. On highway I can easily get 24mpg. Oh and I've never fell under 17mpg. My dad has a 09 Sierra with a 4.8 V8 and he rarely sees 18mpg.
It truly does have a massive amount of power for a 4 banger. But when you think about it, it has the same or close to the displacement of your average V6 engine. But I've hauled 1190 pounds of Steel and I didn't really need to use all that much more throttle to get going, stopping yes but I didn't have to stomp the pedal to the floor just to get going from a traffic light. I recommend it if someone wants a Light Duty truck that gets decent mileage but has the power to do what it was built for.
Yeah, displacement wise, some of the V6s are making a ton of power nowadays. For 4 cyl trucks, I think the Frontier, Ranger and Tacoma 4cyls are all right around 150ish hp. The Colorado is 185 hp but does have about a half a liter more displacement. Oddly enough though, its extra displacement gives just as good of fuel economy numbers as the smaller, less powerful 4 cyl trucks.
That fuel economy and the extra power is why I bought the Colorado. I needed the power but I didn't want to buy a V6 so the Colly fit the bill exactly.
The Standard Engine is the 2.9 4 Cylinder, the other 2 options are the 3.7 Liter Inline 5 and the 5.3 Liter V8 , The 5 Cylinder has 242 horsepower and the v8 has around 300 I believe. but the 4 cylinder is great for city driving and highway during the week and hauling on the weekend.
if you keep doing that without letting your engine warm up then you are going to tear it up.

@Inu1294 That's a Chevy for you! My dad's Silverado has electronics replaced literally every other week.

@Inu1294 WOW does that mean its a gas hog even though its a 4 banger?

@Inu1294 Our 4.0 Ranger got around 18 mpg, our newer 2.5 gets 28-29

About 9 seconds or so isn't bad for the 4 cyl...most powerful 4cyl truck by far if I am not mistaken.
