  • wow this is great! love the shock induction

  • True, there are people who seem to go under hypnosis very easily, however you can NEVER be hypnotized if you truly don't want to be. If someone is hypnotized and doesn't like it, then 1) there is a good chance the hypnotist said something that made them uncomfortable (words like "obedient, under my control" ect) 2) then the hypnotist should NEVER put them under again if they don't want to go under. But remember....the volunteer will still always have control. :) I enjoy your deep thinking!

  • We are both obviously just sitting at our computers - thanks for your quick reply. My point was really that the will to resist just appears weakened and therefore to my observations of this particular set of incidents I cavil with your view that the volunteer always has control. The volunteering capacity diminishes and control ability gets reduced. You then simply have to rely on the integrity of the hypnotist. Many amateurs don't have it!

  • This is true, unfortunately. That's why it's so important to be trained in hypnosis correctly. I enjoy these thought provoking conversations, cresume! Drop me a line any time if you'd like...

  • I saw it for myself. we would be in a group and he would just start talking to her and she would be under. She would come out of it and be deeply disturbed. She ended up leaving our group

  • some people get "power crazed" in a way. It just shows the immaturity of some people. Not much of anything to do with age either....I know of several professional hypnotists who enjoy that "power" over the well being and sake of the volunteer.

Always treat your volunteers with respect!!

  • Ok. But I was not completely honest..My enquiry came from watching someone who had been hypnotised previously being talked to by the hypnotist until she went to "sleep" even though she said she didn't really want to be hypnotized. My observations were that she was clearly conditioned and her conscious mind could not control her unconscious. The "hypnotist" who is now a "former" friend of hers got a real buzz out of the "power" her held over this girl. To be avoided for the unwary in my view.

  • HI. I have never been hypnotized, I am also new to you tube!! But I am very interested to know if once you have been hypnotized you become more susceptible to suggestion. Also once you have hypnotized someone are you confident you can induce a hypnotic state even if the person attempts to resist??

  • how long this desputes go on?do we all need a rapid hypnotic techinique lessons?how does it works?it def has smthen to do with power of unconscious mind like tk or pk...thats is key for all supernatural abilities..as long as one unable to focus or train to utilise that power its hard to hypnotise or doing smthen like mind over matter.thats why most pupils fail to do in many things.the key behind hypnotism/t.k/p.k are all same...the power is same ..

  • Since this was your 1st induction, did you really think that he would go under so quickly and deeply ? The second time that you "emerged" him and quickly put him back under, he really seemed to drop back down even faster than before. Was this indicative of an even deeper state of trance ? Thanks

  • amazing... he was completely under your control....

  • katherineanne, In taking a real close look at this instant/rapid induction, when exactly did your subject actually go into a hypnotic trance ? Due to background noise I could not determine if you actully gave the "sleep" suggestion when he initially lost his balance and fell forward. Thanks again for this textbook video on instant induction.

  • I'd say he was in a deep level of trance at 37 seconds....he was already out and the swaying made him go very deep. This was actually my first induction I ever tried, so I was doing deepening when he really didn't need it. Looking back, I would have just started the suggestions instead of the deepening. But hey, you learn with your experiences. :)

  • I would always tell them to remember what they did UNLESS i taped it because its funny when they have an Urkel moment like "...did I do thaaaaaat?"

  • Katherineanne, I noticed that during the course of this induction you "awakened" your subject twice and immediately gave him the "sleep" command. Could you explain why this was done ? Thanks

  • Good question, ridleleer....

This is called "fractionation." By quickly emerging the subject from deep hypnosis then sending him back in, it deepens the level of his trance. Basically, it's a deppening technique.

    Thanks for watching!

    KA

  • thanks for the information:)

hope to see more videos soon. your style is really amazing!

  • How old are you> YOu seem to know what your doing ALOT! BTW I have a question. I just did the interlocking fingers test on my cousin, turns out he's extrememly suggestable, and induction recommendations/instructions?

  • I am actually only 16....I just have a good teacher. :)

And do what ever induction you like best! Just be confident. :)

    Best of success,

    KA

  • Yes, I am planning on filming a ton of instant inductions very soon. :) So sorry about all of the background noise...I have a better camera now as well so that should help.

And thank you so much for you kind words! Derren Brown is my inspiration in many of my hypnosis and magic effects. Thank you so much...thats the best compliment you could have given me! lol.

    Kindest Regards,

    KA

  • wonderfull Katherine!!!

  • That was an awesome induction! I have a couple of questions though. Was there any preparation of the subject prior to the start of the video ? Second, once the subject lost his balance (when your hand was quickly withdrawn from his), was that in effect the "shock" needed to make him susceptible to rapid hypnosis ?

  • Good questions! The only preperation with this subject was to see if he was suggestive to hypnosis. As you can see....he was. lol. THe loss of balance was the shock needed as well. Thanks so much for watching!

    KA

  • They key to shock inductions is the fact that during a brief moment when you scared you enter a deep trance and you are highly susceptible to suggestions. When you tell them to "sleep" in an authortive voice they will do just that. Then you need to quickly come in with patter on relaxation (verbal deepening).

  • you have a very interesting performance style and i like that. you use strange indutions. but everyone can see that you have studied this art well.

  • omg hypnotize me ! lol id prolly do anything stupid lol

  • ahh taekwondo i got my black belt a couple of years ago :) i was one crazy little ninja

  • I especially like the way you position yourself in case you need to catch him. Martial arts training? I also like the away you continue when the distraction takes place. Great stuff!

    -Sean Michael Andrews

  • yes actually!

3 away from black in Taekwondo. You have MA training then too, no doubt? :D

Thanks so much for your compliments!

  • NO way!! another magician/hypnotist

    I am subscribing to you!

I will most likely be messaging you soon

    haha

Ever done any experiments with subconscious recollection of a misdirection??

  • Hi SoSketchy,

Hypnosis is simple but let me take you out of your dream about "instant" inductions.

I guess you refer to arm pull method or shock tactic Kath used in the video.

I can give you some info (mail me your email address). An initial warning will be made by you, though.

  • Nice job!

  • you are amazing

  • good stuff. but to much background noise, hard to hear Katherine

  • Not to be a bad person or anything, but do you have an explanation for why you did this to ryan for like 10 mins and nothing at all happened, just woozied him a little? Sorry if im being a jerk lol- stephen XD :)

  • hey stePHen, ;)

hypno works on different people in different ways...some, like Cole, are easy to drop. Ryan was a bit more difficult, but not impossible.

I can guaruntee you that next time I see Ryan I can drop him in 2 minutes. for sure. It was a lack of pretalk on my part.

  • I shalt hold you to that maybe the Gregories just have magical immunity, lol your tricks didnt work on either of the gregorys there lol

  • yes it did....

two waking hypnosis bits worked on Ryan. the handstick and the strength drain.

you are not being very nice to me today... whats your problem?

  • Don´t listen to people like Stevoman20 always you´re gonna confront skeptics,it's in your hands to convince about mind power.

  • lol you got help from Matt too?

  • How do you learn this?

  • Lots and lots of training. :)

  • may i ask why you kept waking him up, then put him back to sleep

  • This is called "Fractionation", it is a primary technique for deepening the level of hypnosis through repeatedly emerging the subject from hypnosis then quickly rehypnotizing him/her.

  • You could re-title this one, "Gone in 60 Seconds", because that is certainly what happens to Mr. Cole. He's out like a light!

  • hehehe, great video!!!

would love to test if this would work on me too!

  • You are awesome ;)

    I really like your style.

I've really been into mentalism, ever since a came across Derren Brown some time ago. To bad we dont se more girls doing this.

  • Thank you all for your nice comments. :)

Glad you all enjoyed the video!

    More on the way...

    KA

  • wow!! thank You Katherine!! it really seems You know what You are doing...seems really you are a great hypnotist. thank You for sharing this experience with us:)

  • very well done you just need to speed up the deepener and itel be great il send this guy that has a good technique if i can find it but i always find my own work better

  • Wow that was impressive, it made me laugh when I heard word towel....lol. The only suggestion I have is that next time you do an hypnosis induction do it at a quieter place because it was a little distracting. Don't get me wrong, I still could hear you but watch it next time. Other than that it was very good!!!

    Tony

  • she's good & she knows her stuff! well done! :)

  • This girl is scary good. Has more polish than most ever wiil, as well as more raw talent, so early.

She hasn't worked on strong subjects yet so she's not getting any resistance, but that won't stop her very long. She's got an incredible mindset for this and is another one who doesn't put them under, but puts them away.

  • Excellent KatherineAnne. As I said before I am a big fan! Please give us more hypnosis vids. I love your style! :)

  • This is an excellent first "official" hypnotic induction by a performer with a bright future in this business. Not as a niche performer because she's female, either. Be glad you saw her now because someday you will be watching on TV and saying "Wow, I saw her early stuff on Youtube"!

  • i love how tht one guy trys to explain wuts goin on. and tht guy has to be mad. awake asleep awake asleep!! HAHAHA!! so cool!
