These trucks are great at idling. When we went camping it was really hot out so we just left the Escalade running all day with the A/C on to stay cool. Only went through 1 tank of gas. These are great! I lease them for 24 months.

@caddyman07 My regular transportation is a Nissan Rogue or Honda Accord. For the media, car manufacturers do have "loaner" programs (which I disclose my participation on, on my blog).

you can bypass the security system that shuts off the movie in the front. sometimes the person in the front wants to watch a movie too :) (passenger not driver lol)

I just traded my 07 Escalade in for a 2012 Sequoia Platinum. The Escalade's exterior is better looking and that is about all it has on the Sequoia. My Escalade had a hell of a time pullling my 6x12 enclosed trailer with only a motorcycle in it. The tranny and the engine simply didnt approve of the extra weight and drag. After only two years, the Escalade interior was just going to crap. Overall it was not a bad vehicle, but it certainly was not worth the amount that it cost.

@kdlove80 Seems like a common issue with these Escalades interior only holds up a few yrs then turns to crap. Great vehicle to rent on trips but a poor vehicle to buy given its short life span and $90K pricetag..

I like everything except the gear shift! It needs to be like the Lincoln Navigator! But other than that, this SUV is near perfect!

I have an '09 esv platinum and I only average 12-13mpg and it isn't built to last. A lot of the piano black window trim is fading, the widow frame is loose and creates horrible wind noise, the drivers side door handle fell off, the rear parking assist doesn't work anymore, the tire pressure monitor constantly needs to be serviced, and worst of all it keeps getting keyed by eco-friendly hipsters. I hope my warranty covers all these problems, the truck is amazingly comfortable and offers a ton of

@caddyman07 Sorry, it seems you have misunderstood what I was referring to in my comment. The area I was describing is the frame around the door windows, and if you look at the windows of any Escalade (07+) you will see what I am talking about. It is a glossy black finish, which I refer to as piano black. I think you should take a look at my comment again, maybe seek reading glasses because I was not referring to the interior trim.

@iPhoneAppReviewer No, I read your comment just fine. You should read a few more books pertaining to the automotive industry. "Piano black" is a term usually referring to INTERIOR trim. Not a window mold or ANYTHING on the exterior of a vehicle. AGAIN: Try again.

@caddyman07 What book are you reading idiot? Piano black applies to anything, not just automobiles. Piano black can be applied to anything, including the exterior. Next time you and your hood rat buddies are taking a crowbar to a window of an Escalade observe the surrounding of the window and you will see what I mean.
