Okay...here's the skinny on the plastic....the bucket you see is a special HDPD, High Density Polypropolene and is completely safe and does not leach. The distillate is actually in the bucket a very short time but this is all moot because we've gone to a stainless catch now.

Ya'll need to collect your distillate in glass instead of those plastic buckets. Plasticizers can leach out into your higher proof alcohol.
