I have some long doll making needles, which is what i'll be using to do this technique. My smallest is about 4 inches long.

  • I have always used a bias binding maker (without a problem) but this is a GREAT idea! Would it help if you used two needles a couple of inches apart to feed the tape through to keep the folds even?

  • Simply awesome!!!!!!!!!!! Genius!!!!!!

  • Wow, I found this so much easier than using a bias binding maker - I could never feed the fabric in evenly. Then I'd end up with horrible uneven tape that was a nightmare to attach. Not only is this easier, but now I can custom make the width of my tape too! Thanks so much, a really worthwhile video :)

  • Thank you very much for this cool tip.

  • Great! The bias tape from my pattern is too narrow and I didn't have a larger tape making tool. I was dreading having to make my own without one. You're a genious! Thanks for sharing.
