Metallica didn't. Simple as that.
That's why Megadave got boring. It's fucking dumb as hell to not like a record cause of the genre too. Metallica's the most thrashy band out of the Big 4 too, Slayer sucks, Anthrax sucks, and Megadave have slowed down and they play the same setlist every time. At least James and Kirk can play better than Dave too, Lars is better than Shawn and Menza, Cliff was better than Eleffson, Jason was better, Rob IS better. St Anger is god compared to risk, Loads too.

Risk had a couple songs on it I liked, but I do agree it was Megadeth's worst album.
As for the Risk vs And Justice For All debate. AJFA wins hands down, one of Metallica's best albums even with the turned down Newstead bass. Though I still think Master is the best 'Tallica album. My fave 'Deth album has to be Youthanasia (gonna catch flack for that, but whatever).
@GenTechJ for me The World Needs a Hero is their worst. This one is actually good in my opinon( It's just different from their normal style that's all). Youthanasia sure is top notch but for me there is no heavy metal album that comes even close to Rust In Peace.

I love this fucking song. All you bitches that said they sold out can eat dick and die. You wouldn't know good music if it kicked you in your nonexistent nuts, which this album does. I liked them better when they were singing about butchering people and feeling bad on black fridays and conjuring evil powers and stuff....not that Megadeth was ever serious about its lyrics (well there are exceptions) or I ever cared for, but this is just really embarrassing.

@pinguincool No, actually I don't think so. Just because you are a fan of a band's work, doesn't mean you have to like every single thing they produce... I think only someone with blind devotion would say something like that.
I mean, I love Megadeth, and Metallica, like crazy, but I don't enjoy every single album they produced. I just don't care much for Risk, or Load/Reload. They're not gods, and they're not perfect. I think a true fan of a band should be willing to admit that.

Endgame is actually really REALLY simple in guitar standards, even though Broderick's solos are hard as hell.

I have heard every Megadeth album,but i never bothered to give a listen to Risk,guided byt the reviews that say its shit...but judging by this song and Prince of Darkness i find out its a great album!It has a more light attitude,but some of the riffs,and the solos are great,I really like this song

metallica is my favourite band. believe it or not i am listening to megadeth, yeah,some guys dont know thats possible judging by the comments. and yes, metallica did sell out, and i fucking hate that, they could' ve made some fucking awesome albums instead of load and re - load. but that DOESNT mean that you can't enjoy ride the lightning and stuff like that.

Risk had a couple songs on it I liked, but I do agree it was Megadeth's worst album.
As for the Risk vs And Justice For All debate. AJFA wins hands down, one of Metallica's best albums even with the turned down Newstead bass. Though I still think Master is the best 'Tallica album. My fave 'Deth album has to be Youthanasia (gonna catch flack for that, but whatever).

I love this album because its ]V[egadet]-[s worst album and its still good...besides this album isnt thrash metal because it wasnt meant to be...Dave Mustaine just wanted to experiment with the rock genre...he still came back to his metal roots though,listen to Endgame and MetallicA attempted to come back to their roots after...ugh...St.Anger...but death magnetics still awesome but not compared to Endgame...
