Quick Question: Thinking of getting one of these, but I've noticed that Orange have their own modified firmware for these that features orange branding. Does this mean that if I buy the handset from orange it'll be running on older firmware?

I ask this because the newer firmware versions have corrected a lot of sound issues, and Id hate to have to void any warranty flashing the phones firmware myself

iPhone is so last year Now it's Samsung Omnia HD, Sony Ericsson Idou and Nokia N900 all which are better over all then the iPhone 3GS but I do admit iPhone does have some better features then those phones above but over all iPhone is so last year lol =)

This hanset is great, got mine last week.

Firstly the HD video is amazing - superior to other phones and would make the iphone camera look like someone has filmed through a jar of vaseline. The sound issue is soon corrected by a new update that is a complete change of sound format (great news).

Downloadable widgets on this phone however are unavailable, as Orange are in the process of getting the rights for them. Real shame as we all want youtube and facebook app's.

I got this phone last week on Orange.

Firstly I will say it has great video recording, sound is muffled but soon fixed with the latest update (complete sound format change fixes the problem).

Macro HD can be achieved if you look up how on the internet. Those that slate the HD on this handset are looking for a Sony HD camcorder - remember this is just a phone, and yes it is HD quality - though trnsferring to youtube seems to sometimes stutter videos - they are fine on the handset itself.

Symbian is fine, Android is still new and will probably be eclipsed soon by a newer OS. Symbian is a much wiser choice than Windows Mobile thats for sure, also did you know that right up until they stopped producing the N95, its was Nokia's best selling phone, Symbian OS is right behind Android, and is years old.
