Great tips, nice gear. Here's a tip back at ya... Get an external mic, perhaps with a bit of fur. It will solve your dodgy sound issues. Canon make great bodies, and are capable of great video, not problems there, but using the body mic isn't cool, especially in wind.
Hi Justin, I got from CPS-Germany so called Canon-N-Rain covers. They are available in S (70-200 / 28-300), M (200/2 / 300/2.8) and L (400/2.8 till 800/5.6). They are really usefull because they fit absolute tight around the eyepiece. Call your CPS-rep if you want one (we in Germany get those covers for free, you can't buy them).
What about the Sigma 50-500mm? any good as a lens option vs the 100-400?
