  • I just tried this recipe and it turned out great. Thanks for sharing!

  • your videos should come with a warning! "mouth watering goodness coming up, turn away now or you will be hungry!"

Love your videos guys, you all really need your own show!

  • i love the voice over.

  • I like to add some horseradish to my coleslaw. It works real nice with the creaminess of the mayo. Try it some time you might like it.

  • Skip the cider vinegar and add apple chunks and raisins...now you got it !

  • Planning a party on the 25th and looking for the best Cole Slaw out there ... any suggestions? You guys rock!

  • see for me the carrot is important. The color, the flavor & the snap it adds just makes a good thing great.

  • lol this is so manly. "There are no carrots in this slaw..."

  • LOL nice... My wife approves.. Came out perfect.

    -Pete

  • Area 51 - Ha! Does that coleslaw have wings?

  • man i'm glad i subbed you guys...that looks great...aaaaa and also i needed a little learning to make my own...thumbs up on your video

  • who does the voice for these videos? whoever he is, he's great! a real authentic southern voice that goes along great with these old time bbq videos!

  • My mouth waters everytime I watch these videos

  • Gotta use Hellmans Mayo for slaw, maybe a little red cabbage for color and a couple of shakes of Cajun spice to go with dat cider vin, NO FRIGGIN CARROTS, no way no how!

    Good stuff BBQ pit boys

Good stuff, lighten up the grill.

  • I hate carrots in slaw, but whattabout some jalapenos? would that be so bad??

    BAM!

  • aren't you supposed to cook the cabbage first?

  • way way too much mayo...lord..! Have some cabbage with your mayo.

  • @monawachsler why, ya'll got a cabbage farm?

  • @ElPasoTV hehe....no but I wish! :) I love cabbage! I 'spect some people need lots of mayo with their cabbage.

I LOVE good mayo and I'm not faulting your recipe because of the calories.

I suppose people stick to what they have always known and loved. :)

  • @ElPasoTV What's up with that messed up accent? lol.

  • You're not a Republican...are you?

  • i want to move to the usa just for that

  • im eating slaw right now

  • Except for the mayo, that's a lot like German slaw, and where's the pepper?

  • I like slaw with some shredded carrots (cuz' I like bunny food), and a sprinkle or two of onion powder and celery powder. You can also add some mustard seed for a little spike of tangier flavor.

  • in europe (Im from Germany) people thing Americans cant cook and only eat at mcdonalds.

But the Pitboys proved us wrong.

    Americans CAN cook.

  • coming out of "area 51"... haha

  • instead of mayo is miracle whip ok

  • cause carrots are fu.ckin bunny rabbit food! If u need vit. A, take it aside - but don't put carrots and raisins in my god damm slaw!

  • @MrDeerMeat Agreed 100%

  • no! why did u forget the carrot!

  • clayton show your face yeah!!!! dave chappelle show hahaha

  • I need to make some slaw, been ages. I do love Marzettie's Slaw Dressing out of columbus, ohio, it's sold all over the country. Check your salad dressing isle at the grocery. Also I do like a bit of sweet onion. Carrots just make it look nice, ad a bit of sweetness. I like a bit of milk in mine, makes it a bit thinner, the way we use to make it in the Smokey Mountains when I was a kid.

  • Great job as always boys! need just a little sweet onion tho, can do without the carrots like u's. 5 Stars

  • I like carrots and red onions in my slaw

  • What a sexy voice. Is that from eating your bbq?

  • hahahahahaha

  • loook guuuud! and real ez to do

  • I think the carrots are mostly for color anyway...

  • Dukes mayo makes the best slaw Yummm

  • one thing i love doing to my slaw is i will take some sesame seeds and non cooked mr. noodles and toast it in a small pan then mix it in with my slaw it just gives it some crunchyness and it adds a great flavor

  • I think he is a big fan of cider vinegar. All of his recipes are great however I usually use about a fourth of the vinegar he does and have not had problems with the vinegar overwhelming the other flavors.. Keep it up Pit Boys we love it...

  • you're right, jtucker310. luv that cider vinegar! As you point out you can use a bit less in some recipes, and is a matter of personal choice. But if you are after a mouth watering, lip smackin' tartness in your barbecue then pass me some of that good ol' cider vinegar! -BBQ Pit Boys

  • A 50/50 vinegar water mix is a great baste for chicken BBQ. You never taste the tartness and it keeps the chicken moist and tender. We do it this way in PA at Fire Co. fund raisers and it is GREAT!!

  • @BarbecueWeb Jesus would vote for gun control and rights for homosexuals

  • ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm hum! is that good or what!

    than u again !

  • Area 51!

  • thanx alot for the recipe :D

  • Hold the carrots, but have you ever tried using diced pineapple in your slaw to add sweetness instead of sugar? Mmmmmm... now that's good.

  • it had no carrots or onion in it!!!

  • hey foxgirl100, hard to believe now, ain't it! Hold the carrots and onions on this one! -BBQ Pit Boys

  • y no carrots

  • Pretty good recipe, but is the wya he talks for real?

  • I don't know, I don't want to know. But in either case, he sure makes some good BBQ don't he?

  • i love slaw im going to be trying this...

    where the pitboys from

  • you know today i went out and bought some apple cider vinear and made your coleslaw and boy was it good. thnx for the recipe

  • was that hellmans mayo?

  • yes sir....a quality mayo makes this slaw recipe real good!

  • Hellmans is the greatest mayo. u can tell by the color. like Hellmans is Yellow and Kraft is White.

I get my Hellmans Straight from Nawlins.

  • I LOVE COLESLAW!

  • Ok i;m tryin to hook my mom up with one of the BBQ pit boys. are any of them available? she's 55 and just loves BBQ and travel. hey let me know

  • Just put this together to go with my Secret girl Hot Durgers!!!! Awesome!

  • i loooooove cole slaw so this is perfect!!! im so afraid of those teenage kids at those fast food joints that mess with your food. keep it coming!!! side dishes especially!!

  • I have question...What do you think about red cabbage for slaw?

  • Red cabbage will do just fine..go for it!

  • good, but a little strong......but that is my opinon..... green is a little mild.

  • Just made some of your Pit Boys Country Slaw and it's perfect.

    Thanks for the recipe.

  • I like your cole slaw, but I hate southern relish slaw...yuck!

  • LOL! I was waiting for you to put it into the grill to give it that smokey flavour

  • -ya might be on to something, AltarRS!

  • ????

Anyway, are you the one in the video?

  • yes sir, i'll admit it, it's me! No Food Channel producer types and staff running the show around here! This is just good ol' country BBQ Pit Boys barbecue, no BS plain and simple.

  • the time is 7:43 (Friday)EST and Emeril is doing his BBQ Ribs.....Bam! Bam! Show off! lol!

    My favourite rib is beef.

  • Hahaha! I was about to say, "Now, where are the carrots?", but then, you've already answered that question right in the video! :)

This recipe looks great; can't wait to try it out!

Any chance to find out what that background music is? (Sounds something like South American pan flute music, but I can't be sure...And were the sheep bleating in the background, or were they part of the music? Just curious!)

  • -we own a library of copyright-free music that we use for YouTube, much of it without the composer's sig! The birds and barnyard animals come and go as they please!

  • That's really neat! Great videos - keep it up! :)

  • What food can you bam! Bam! lol!

  • try just a little tad of green bell pepper in with your cabbage.. you would be surprised at how well they go together.

  • Slaw makes ANY barbecue great!

  • i wish i liked slaw :(

  • give it time, you'll come around! -BBQ Pit Boys

  • hey!!

finally something I'll be able to do :P
