@flashpadxxx Absolutely. The only advantage I believe in starting young is the amount of time most kids have on their hands. A lot of my adult students understand advanced concepts easier, seem to learn quicker than kids etc. I think the idea that you have to start at age 5 is ridiculous. I started guitar at 15. Drums at 21. And piano at 30. I can sort of pull off a few professionally graded classical piano pieces but the biggest challenge as an adult is trying to find time to practice. \m/
@ShredGuitarAcademy Not quite. At a base level, YOUNG (we're talking 4-7) children learn about 10-12 times faster then adults. Now this doesn't mean every kid can just pick up a guitar and play. The problem with children is you are fighting short attention spans, and other things (lack of focus).
Think of it like this. How long does a baby with no language take to become FLUENT? Try learning chinese at 30 :p
@XIIdmb53IIX Nope. I just like guitars. I do need at least three for playing live though. I always seem to break a minimum of one string per show and have been known to finish off a set on my third guitar because I've gone through two. You really don't want to have to stop a show to replace a string. \m/
yeahh i dont know much cuase im only 13, and me and my friend and another girl want to start a band, me at lead, friend at drums, and girl at bass haha
As usual... Great video. And yes I'm a fan. :-) What kind of video and audio recording equipment are you using to send your lessons up to YouTube? I am going to produce one (not music related) and I would like this level of quality but I don't think I can pull it off with my little digital camera set on record. Thanks.
@themainproblem Actually you probably can. All I'm using out of neccesity is a Canon Powershot SD780 IS digital camera. Audio is just the cameras tinny little mic. It shoots in HD but there is a known issue with this camera that it's not too silent so if you listen in quiet parts there is an audible sort of hum sound which I wish wasnt there. Its also a pain as I then have to convert all the files so I can edit them in windows movie maker. I'm pretty satisfied with the result considering.
@themainproblem I'm hoping eventually through either advertising, paypal donations, or getting more students to teach over skype to start making some money from this. It takes at least 5-6 hours to make a video at this point and I can't continue to do that forever for nothing. The first thing I plan to do once it starts generating some income is to get a proper video camera, good mics and a mac for editing which should really save me time and streamline the process so I can make vids faster.
Naw... Heil Schecter! Mine let out a cry as its father was penetrating 6 women at the same time with its strings, and from that note came my guitar, which then proceeded to penetrate 6 more women before I got it.

@tatoo190 It wasn't a sticker just a picture that I glued on. I burned one into a Carvin of mine that i'll be showing in a future video.
