I installed a 64GB- SSD, a touchscreen and Windows 7 Professional on my eee 901 but it's a little bit slow so I consider to buy the 1015PN. Is it possible to install a touchscreen on the 1015PN? I love it on the 901....

Is it possible to install 4gb of ddr3. Yes I know that 2gb will only be recognized by Windows starter, I'll replace the os with something different. Just want to get the most of this netbook when i get it. I've read stuff about how it's finniky with ram and some say it's ddr2 instead of ddr3.

@jkkmobile Have you noticed some issues with color and not being able to maximize Flash videos? I upgraded mine to Windows 7 Home and Optimus works, but I cannot maximize Flash videos and sometimes the color is distorted in videos.

@jkkmobile I am debating between 1015 PEM and this one (PN). The battery life is my main concern. The PEM has 13hrs (63wh battery) and PN has 9hrs (56wh)

Is it possible to put the battery from the PEM onto the PN??

Is it compatible?

There is one already on youtube (6 parts) and it is a headache to follow. The person in the video isn't clear and he doesn't show the steps properly..

apparently SSD's do not consume any less power than conventional hard discs. Would you still recommend upgrading to one?

@androst9 there are different ssds and hdds, some use less some doesn't. It also depends on use. Anyway, i go always for ssd, for performance and battery life, remember, many times doing something faster uses less energy.

@androst9 Once you use an SSD you will never go back. SSD's are soooo much faster. Especially so compared to slow laptop or netbook HDDs. My laptop had a 4200rpm HDD... Man the SSD is fast.
