i think the reason they got rid of this is because they got the names wrong.

Flora was doing the dress, not Fauna

Merryweather was cleaning the room, not Flora

And Fauna was baking the cake, not Merryweather.

Yes. But actually, it's rather the contrary. The music existed before the lyrics. All the music from "The Sleeping Beauty", even the melody of the songs, come from the Ballet version of the tale.

For those confused:

Fauna from the actual movie is Merryweather in this baking the cake.

Flora from the actual movie does the cleaning in the lyrics.

The song's Flora is not in the main cast.

The movie's Merryweather isn't present.

I DO like how they did originally wanted to explain how their magic worked - it worked by counting of numbers depending upon the level of difficulty the task required. A nice concept - I just despise how they have the tasks and names mixed up in the song that differs from the movie. Oh well, apparently this was cut out LONG before they actually animated it. Still my favorite Disney movie of all time.

I don't think so...because you can hear Merry(weather)name's at 00:45 and Fauna name's at 01:04. Actually, in this version, Flora cleans, Merryweather cooks and Fauna stiches up the dress. I didn't respect that on my A.M.V.

When "Alice in Wonderland" was in production Kathryn Beaumont, who was the voice of Alice, didn't do a demo record of song that was eventually cut from the film called "Beyond the Laughing Sky." It was instead done a girl who was hired to sing the song.
