Love the videos...been going through every single Mac related one! My family got our first Macintosh IIci when I was 2 years old (1989) and played many games of Doom on that thing.

By the way, $8000 in 1991 is worth about $13,000 today, just in case anyone is reading this. :P

Al, you're taking me back to the good old days. I remember in 1983/4? when I lived in Japan. Apple was marketed by Canon in those days. You'd get an appointment to see the mac and they'd usher you into this office with the tiny little 128k Mac sitting on the table. The graphical environment blew my mind--I had an Apple ][ at the time. They then proceeded to sell me the $10,000 Lisa developer system. Sigh!

Never owned a Mac or Apple related product (except the iPod), but have toyed with them in the past and if I could afford one (times are EXTREMELY tough right now), I'd get one in a heartbeat. But I guess I'll just have to stick with my Windows XP-based PC (Vista really sucks, though. But SOMEDAY I will own an Apple computer!).

Hey by any chance, would you happen to have the os to that machine. I have a classic 2 or one of those that looks like that but unfortunately it doesn't have an os. Now correct me if I'm wrong but it doesn't have a hdd right? It's in perfect shape cosmetically and works up until it needs an os so I really don't want to open it to find out.

nice one keep the videos coming al & i just put a wifi card on my Power Macintosh G3 stole it from my Windows/Linux PC lol and i was stupid found out that when i ran 10.3.9 all i had to do to get it to work was update the airport software oh well the card just worked with 10.4 i hope when i update to 10.4.11 it still works
