How can they say that Janet is not doing the voice when you can see her jaw moving slightly when the "voice" stars speaking. At 2:08, saying "Oh no it's a joke" her lower jaw even drops subtly down at the "Oh".

They make this seem supernatural and extraordinary, but she's sitting there, trying to suppress a grin, and performing for them. It is like the Cottingley Fairies case all over again...

i feel like it was partly the little girl playing with a force. it seems as if this thing lets her play as she wishes and she is both shocked and afraid yet tempted to play with the voices as well. just like, as a shy girl, i have a good reputation, but if i fibbed, people would pick it right up, and i reluctantly used it for manipulation yet also felt very badly about it. if confronted i would admit i was shy and afraid yet not manipulating. just an example of kids and mixed feelings

Open and shut case I think. For a start, the girl is clearly very eccentric, if not disturbed. Quite obvious from her adult interviews. Second, I know kid's body language very well (was recently a kid), and the girls behaviour during the voice is suspiciously mischevious. She can scarcely hide her laughter. Lastly, the film 'the exorcist' was only a few years earlier, and was fucking massive. It seems that the girl found she had an amazing vocal talent, and the family staged it/were fooled too.
