Haa I soo played this religiously back on the genesis. Hours and hours and hours and hours at a time e-e I recall actually hallucinating at one point from sleep deprivation. Pretty bad for a 9 year old.. and seeing all the entertainers walking back and forth in the corner of my vision holding those damned picket signs..

They have a kind of dumb down version on DS as well. Brings it back with some rather frustrating controls.

I first started being addicted to theme parks on the original RCT. So many memories! Then I got RCT2 and got even more hooked on that. I build huge parks and massive coasters. So much fun. RCT3 came out and I got glued to my computer with that. Ace video!

i think rct 2 is really the best theme park simulation ever because there were so much scenery themes and you could be really creative. the only thing i missed was a inside view of the roller coasters. TPW was also cool, but it became boring a lot faster because you had not this much possibilities.of course rct3 is also cool, but at rct2 i get this indescribable feeling xD

Oh wow, I've actually played Theme Park and Sim Theme Park, but I think Sim Theme Park was actually just called Theme Park, or maybe it was a newer version of that game, but I can tell the graphics and interface are the same.

I remember my first theme park game was RCT2, I still remember the time my older brother came in and sang a song he made up ("Roller coaster tycoon 2 2 22, ya build your own amusment park park parkpark") then rct, then one day at my one school bookfair I found RCT3 AND GOT IT ISTANTLY!!!! Ah. Gotta love original RCT games. Way back in 2000, or 2001 my aunt told me of a game where you can create a theme park and build rides and watch the guests "puke". I become interested in this game, even though I was, like, 6. On the Fourth of July, I was over at her house, and she burned me a copy (yeah that's kinda illegal, I know). I played it for about 5 hours that day, and I loved it ever since, and I still play almost every day:) I miss the old game though sometimes.

I remember playing RCT3 before I even knew what a roller coaster was. I would just play around with soem coasters, drown people in the water. I used to love that game and I was only 4 or 5. I never did get to play RCT2, but might get that soon to relive classics. But when RCT3 came out I got that. I used to build wooden coasters that would probably get up to 50 g's. Then once I learned about custom scenery I downloaded some. Then I began to make parks and signed up at a forum and Youtube.

I started "theme park designing" using rct2 when I was 6 then went on to rct3 when I was 9. I made theme parks with little to no scenery used. Then in 2009 when I was 12 I made my 1st park, the recreation of Magic Kingdom at WDW, with no cs what so ever. Then a few months later right after I turned 13 I was introduced to cs. Now I use cs, cfr, and ctr in every single one of my parks. I pretty much stayed with the roller coaster tycoon series except for a short time with zoo tycoon.

Custom Content was made for RCT2, but the other games could not support it. Sim Theme Park does have a way to get rides from separate islands into one park, give or take a few that don't like other islands.

I started playing RCT3 after I saw the Platinum version when I was about 6 or 7. Because I was young back then I confused the regular version with the Platinum version. In 2009 I got RCT3 Platinum for Christmas along with a new computer and the SimCity box. At first I had to play without sound because my parents didn't get speakers yet. I now have speakers. I haven't played my old RCT3 Regular version since 2009.
