Landsat has had a total of 7 satellites as of now. The 6th failed to achieve orbit, but the 5th and 7th are still in orbit.
All landsat imagery has been made free via the earth explorer website of USGS. You can download images, or raw data that requires a program like ERDAS to process into imagery which can be manipulated to show special data (like vegetation density).
Don't complain about NASA if you aren't aware of what they do for us. Do (sound) research, then form opinions. Thank you.
@ozixly, a minor correction. We have had several satellites in the Landsat program, this is not a single satellite or set of instrumentation over 38+ years. Currently, the L5 and L7 (short for Landsat 5 and 7) satellites are still in orbit and kicking. My teams are helping develop the DPAS (Data Processing and Archive Segment) for L8 now.
looks like a promo for a motion picture but, this is all evidence-based science. We can see human activities are having an effect on the planet and it climate.Scary stuff.
YES!!! awesome. nasa has to come up with their own PLANET EARTH series!! wtf... WE KNOW YOU HAVE TONS OF INFO and PICS... so show all that amazing DATA you have..... NASA!!!
I want the solar panel on that satellite. That thing is 38 yrs old and still kicking. Nice pics on that vid. Shows the Earth is still changin' and the human impact it's that bad.

@JettonKidd Yeah Americans don't seem to appreciate this data.
Europe really should have done it instead.

@sabird1 dude it was a nerdy observation. If you had a brain maybe you'd have a clue as to what a neuron is.

As a kid, NASA amazed me. Now that I'm grown up,and in light of recent discoveries, They've lost their luster.

The more technologically advanced humans become the more they mess things up. The leaders of humans are ignorants.

NEVER have we had access to such data until now. Will we use it to learn how to better ourselves and our planet? Let us hope.

Could have been MUCH better if it just labeled the photos with dates, locations, and a brief descriptive explanation.
