  • i myself dont truly believe in religions i believe in the good, hope, and power that they source themselves off of and grow from

A friend of mine told me today that he "don't believe in religion, i believe in a relationship with god"

though seemingly cheesy i found it somewhat inspiring to hear that

  • Baliallialialialialialialialialiiiiiaaaaalialialialialialiaaaaaa. I kept repeating the song just to hear that part /:)

  • i love this song im singing along with right now !!!!

  • I was trying to remember what song this reminded me of. "Heaven's Light" from The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

  • Why aren't I allowed to say I'm an atheist AND I disagree with religion? I'm entitled to that view and I still love this soundtrack. U mad?

  • @FrazzleAndTheWolf You are entirely entitled to that, it's just unfortunate that you've had so much exposure to God's Word and you still haven't responded to His call. I hope you meet Him on His terms before your time is over.

  • Regardless of your religion, this movie is a classic. I'm an atheist and I will NEVER get tired of this movie.

It has a wonderful soundtrack, great voice actors, and the story is outstanding!

  • not tryna be racist but i think i feel closer to god than most kids cuz these were my people you know i dont think white people really understand suffering realizing all the pain my ancestors went through idk i feel really close to god

  • I'm not religious at all but I love this song. I can't believe some find this song stupid or offensive.

  • I love this song so much! xD

  • I respect all forms of Religion. This is one of my favorite movies.

I am Commander Shepard and this is my favorite song :))

  • My church has a dance camp each summer with a specific theme and this year the theme is Heaven's Eyes- God's plan is bigger then ours. It has been inspired by this song

  • I would love to dance around a bonfire, in the middle of the night, with a bunch of people, to this song.

  • We're trying to get the funny man out of the well :)

  • This is one of my favourite songs ever. : )

  • This is just about the best movie in the world.

  • The Prince of Egypt is one of the best OST I've ever heard :')

  • So many people jump to assume being Atheist means you hate Christians. It's absolutely not true. Just because you don't believe the same things doesn't mean you can't love and respect other people.

  • @Tobermaury101 It's not true i have lots of friends that are atheist that I love to death :) ,and I'm a Die hard Christian :)

  • I've seen this movie so many times that I can literally picture the scenes throughout this song. SO good <3

  • This makes me want to watch the movie..but I'm doing homework! Must....resist..

  • @LoveeMia lmao this is my hw music too!

  • Brian Mitchell Stokes (Jethro). Google him, he's so underappreciated. Thumbs up if you agree with me when I say that 4 tony awards simply ISN'T ENOUGH!

  • This is OSM

  • Best song in the movie, IMO.

  • The lyrics of this song always gives me goosebumps

  • OMG. I wanna dance!

  • I'm hoping my boyfriend will read this; Ben if ammy ever wanted to say something to you this would be it. You ARE perfect! Even if I'm the only one to see it!

  • @TheVaporeonrules234 i... see it...

  • @XxbenburnxX And what have you learned?

  • i really wish dreamworks can make more movies like this i mean they put so much effort into this why not with the movies they have now?

  • Animated movies have taught me more life lessons than school ever will....funny enough I'm in school for animation.

  • How do you measure the worth of a man in wealth or strength or size?

  • 8 people didn't join the dance.

  • This used to be my favourite film :)

  • My god, I love Hans Zimmer.

  • who else loves the "Bailailailalalalalalailai" Part??? That is my favorite part x]

  • @msladygagafan981 fucking agree XD

  • @msladygagafan981 ROFL. That's my favorite part to, hahahaha!

  • @NuClEaRmaric because that imaginary friend can turn out to be your greatest friend, one who doesn`t judge you and just listens and when you have nothing left and no one to come home to that imaginary friend is there waiting for you and when your imaginary friend is love itself as it says in the bible you become that.

  • I love the message of this song <3

  • for the 8 people how disliked this....YOU GOT ISSUES! :P

  • Lai-la-lai-lai-li-la-lai-lai La-la-la-la-lai-la-lai Lai-la-lai-lai-lai!

  • im a satanist nd i absolutley love this movie even more this song

  • @MsDancer000 I've never heard of a Satanist before but a small part of me feels it may not be a good thing

  • @sadlobster1 hahaha You're comment made me laugh. lol

  • I love this song. I loved it when I was young and still to this day being 17 I still love it :)

  • Anyone else feel the emotion of his voice at 2:09?

  • Praises to Allah, this song is so beautiful!

    Relates to us so much!

  • I was raised by watching this video EVERY SINGLE DAY<3 I'm catholic and this relates to me so much<3

  • feels like I am in the desert XD

  • We were watching this movie in World History, and when this song started playing I sang along with it. And my teacher looked at me strangly from his desk and said, "Aren't you an Atheist?" And I replied, "That may be true, but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate good music!"

I may be an Atheist, but I am in no way a hater. I respect all forms of Religion. This is one of my favorite movies.

  • @SuperHappyFunTime009 ME TOO. PREACH IT AMEN.

  • @SuperHappyFunTime009 I which there were more religious and atheist people like you

  • @SuperHappyFunTime009 Same here, I'm a hardcore atheist but still love this movie.

  • @SuperHappyFunTime009 if the world only knew more people like you....would be great.

  • @SuperHappyFunTime009 thank you, this has one of the best animated soundtacks ever, i put up there with lion king and the hunchback of notre dame (POE and HBND were scored and the songs were written by the same man), and also i am to an athiest with an open mind.

  • @SuperHappyFunTime009 Well spoken! I may not be Christian myself, either, but I certainly appreciate this movie and the music!!

  • Comment removed

  • @SuperHappyFunTime009 HURRAH! :D I like people like you.

  • @SuperHappyFunTime009 No offense what so ever, but I wish Atheists were as open minded as you and not mock us for what we believe in.

  • @chubbins543 Loud minority. Just as not all christians mock evolution and atheists.

  • @Pottan23 thank you

  • @SuperHappyFunTime009 ._. mind telling that to a lot of your people? ive known that there are good aithiests out there, but the only ones i ever see are the haters, o-o they always have terrible arguements, and apparently get turned on at the thought of hating on religion,

  • @SuperHappyFunTime009 You watched a cartoon based on the book of Exodus in World HISTORY class? lmao that's retarded.

  • @SuperHappyFunTime009 You're lucky. Our religions teacher wouldn't let us watch this movie. :c

  • I find it funny that this is one of my fave songs and I am wiccan. Well, it doesn't actually matter. The song applies to most religions with very minor tweaking. They all have a simalar base anyway. Be a good person, you are valuable to the higher power, etc. The entire film is good actually, toned down enough from the actual story/tale/etc for children.

  • This is a good song to listen to when you feel your worth nothing, I know it picked me up

  • People look at me as the bitter, bitchy, atheist girl that likes Three Days Grace and Skillet. I do like them, but I love fashion, cute things, pink, and I blare this entire soundtrack 1st-4th block along with Lady Gaga and Ellie Goulding. Don't judge a book by it's cover.

  • @KurehaPandaNii Amen to that sister.

  • @Kira1Lawliet Thank you *hugs* Seems that 5 Thumbs up Understands. <3 :3

  • this song wants me to let out my inner African...

  • Danny Glover Is #1

  • Beautiful. I love this song, it's so full of joy. Praise be to God. <3

  • Epic song

    sound like guy got married

    Oh Wait! He Did

  • We are putting this on at School at the moment, and this whole cast piece is fab and uplifting... Having a great time working as Co Director on a performance as amazing as this!

  • @ElleAppleGoodall Best wishes! This is truly an amazing and inspiring piece, whatever one's religion may be.

  • my FAVOURITE song ever<3!

  • @thekade846 Oh no!! I almost forgot about my Mormon friends! :'( Anyway, YEAH!! :D

  • ahah this film is just soo amazing! i cant believe we don't watch this in R.E my teacher put on some boring animation on the prince of Egypt and i said "why not put on the Dream works version?" n he said "what's that?" *face palm*

  • @KatexxCarmen And so do all of my Baptist, Church of Christ, Jehova's Witness, Presbyterian, and Methodist friends. WIthout the virgin mary, no Jesus Christ, no New Testament part of the Bible.

  • This reminds me of Isaiah 55:8-9, which is my favorite Bible verse. God's thoughts are much higher than our thoughts, and His ways are much higher than our ways. We don't always know why certain things happen, but we can rest assured that God has a greater plan for us than we do!

  • DAMN!

  • This song brings back so much nostalgia :')

  • This is quite the soundtrack for quite the movie.

  • I think that this song not only applies just to us but it should apply to others. At first, when I was asked out on a date by this shorter, overweight, and loud guy, I didn't want to go. But I learned that i shouldn't think about one of God's children so negatively because God sees him differently. Also I learned that I shouldn't worry too much about my dating life or how long I'll be single because I can't see my whole life now. Only God can.

  • God on karaoke night.

  • @KayinMoon Made my day! :)

  • @KayinMoon If that's true, God's can outdo all the angels of heaven in a singoff. But you already knew that, didn't you? XD

  • @KayinMoon

    ROTFL

  • @KayinMoon You don;t know how much that made me crack up!

  • @KayinMoon LMAO xD!!!!!!!

  • 7 people can't see through heaven's eyes.

  • @19lemons93 lol

  • @Enochsawit-not wanting to pick a fight, but I think it means to not see yourself the way the world sees you. Moses thought he was insignificant and not worthy of anything because of the mistakes he made, but seeing life through Gods eyes made him realize that he is worth something. To the world, you are nothing. But to God, you are important to Him. So important, in fact, that Jesus died for you. Watch the movie and listen closely to what Jethro and Moses were talking about before the song sta

  • This song means a lot to me. The last part is epic in an amazing way!

  • Impossible. Unless a man is in heaven he cannot do such a thing. That said, a man ought to look at his life and number his days aright that he reach a heaven he does not deserve to attain. This can only be achieved when sinful man becomes the recipient of irrestable grace. Who bestows such a gift? Here's a clue his Name begins with the letter J....

  • @Enochsawit, I think you've sort of missed the meaning of the song. I respect your view and by no accounts mean to offend but the whole point of the song (at least in my view) was to make Moses understand that no matter how worthless or insignificant he thought he was, he was worth so much more as a simple honest man to the people of Midia. Just because he couldn't see his best qualities, doesn't mean the others couldn't. See through the eyes of Heaven means to see through the eyes of others.

  • @Malhanjia Not so! the song is not about seeing oneself thru others eyes but thru the eyes of the Almighty i.e. heaven. thats why i said it is impossible unless you are either in heaven or God.

  • @Enochsawit The meaning of the song is not literal. It simply means to understand that no matter how small or insignificant we seem, no matter how much of a sinner we are, we can never understand our true worth until we find it in Christ, ie, "looking through Heaven's eyes" meaning that God sees us as so much more than any measure the world uses.

  • @CrapsterZ

"God sees us as so much more than any measure the world uses."

even though I'm no Christian, I think that's beautifully said.

  • @Omaralkemis Yeah, that and "you cannot measure a man's worth through what he builds or buys"

  • @Omaralkemis I am a Christian, and I agree with you =)

  • I asked someone if they saw this movie and their reply was "oh the children's movie?" -facepalm

  • 1 WORD: Goosebumps

  • i made a promise... to look at my life through heaven's eyes!

  • @saraisastar8 I like that promise!

  • I want an instrumental version of this so bad!

  • My favourite song of the film :) <3

  • the song in this movie are just awesome! 8D

  • Can someone help me understand as to why the Bible stories movies are seriously underrated?? This movie and it's songs are incredible, yet it's underrated. Help

  • @TheArtisticGirl1 this is just guess. its probably because people feel that these films promote Christianity so they choose to not expose their children to that kind of "prejudice". its just a theory. it might bed true or it might not.

  • @regina22333 I had that feeling when I was little (went to a catholic school 1st-3rd grade) and I still kinda do, but this is just a fun movie, and I was more interested in the egyptians at that age anyway.

  • @TheArtisticGirl1 because very often christian movies try to ham fist things down viewers throats and are often horribly acted, directed, and produced. Just look at any movie by kirk cameron and you will understand why people don't like them. I like the music, but the story is like every other heros journey story that has ever existed

  • @TheArtisticGirl1 Blame Veggie Tales...nuff said

  • Comment removed

  • @TheArtisticGirl1 Perhaps because they depict myths, not facts. Also, by underrated, I do not completely agree, for this movie at least is acknowledged for its amazing songs and graphics by most people. I myself was awed when I was a kid, and still generally like this movie.

  • @TheArtisticGirl1 Well, the Prince of Egypt was a big hit at the box office. But now alot people don't know the film, mainly because it get's under shadowed by the 1950's The 10 Commandments film that EVERYONE saw at sometime in their life. Which is a shame because The Prince of Egypt is Fantastic!

  • @TheArtisticGirl1 Because the only ones who truly enjoyed them were people who, like me, had never heard of the bible before watching them.

  • @TheArtisticGirl1 Maybe it's because it's a very risky thing to make Bible stories into movies. Look at The Passion of the Christ; even though it received critical acclaim, many people thought it was being offensive to the Jewish community.

Also, some filmmakers decide not to even to make the right choices in story elements or actors. Look at Joseph, King of Dreams and I also read that Hollywood will probably doing a David and Goliath movie with The Rock and Taylor Lautner.

    Not very smart

  • @sadlobster1 agreed 120% the idea of Taylor Lautner playing David is offensive in my opinion unless he is Jewish but most likely the people who will be making the movie will be Jewish so they want to do it then so be it

  • @22tashiko WAIT WHAT?!Huh-david-what?

  • @sadlobster1 I havent watched Passion of the Christ in years. Just curious: How does it offend Jews?

  • @isearchforfullmoons I'm not exactly sure of it myself. But from what I can remember, it may have been because the story of the Passion was placing the death of Jesus entirely on the Jewish people.

If anyone thinks my guess is wrong, feel free to correct me. Just be gentle

  • @TheArtisticGirl1 I think it's more that Dreamworks was kind of an underrated company at the time the movie was made. I've seen some pretty low-quality adaptations of bible stories, but this is a classic I keep coming back to time and time again, despite being as much of a nonbeliever now as I was as a kid.

  • @SimplyAComment The proof that god exists is in your heart. I know that sounds strange but god is a feeling we all get when we feel united. So shall we stand united together friend?

  • @TheArtisticGirl1 probably because of the freedom of religion

  • or maybe because this is a Jewish bible story

  • @TheArtisticGirl1 I totally agree !! <3 this film and th music is seriously ACE !! xxx :P

  • I put the speakers on full blast and danced around like nobody's business. :D

  • I LOVE THIS! :)

  • Great, now that lai-dai-dai theme is gonna be running through my head for another month.

  • Dude this is when Joseph is getting married !!! 2:44

  • @megajeeca uh....don't you mean moses?

  • @MrsAlucard1994 Wow i was thinking of Joseph King Of Dreams. XD

Dang I'm so stupid !!! LOL

  • I am not even Christian but I still love this movie and it's soundtrack! Including this song! :D

  • @S0M3TiiM3S its an amazing movie if you're christian or not (:

  • i love this song, like,, i sing alot of this stuff in class for fun, and my teacher always sings along :p

  • @theonewhowillprosper Awesome comment! I wish I could like! :))

  • Catholics are Christians :D

  • @KaylaNicole2012 Which is why you used the word Catholic

  • hey guys. im so glad that there arent any negative comments on the video. we all love each other no matter what, you dont have to be religous christian or catholic to get that. im just glad that this is one vid that has clean comments

  • i dont care how many negative comments i get because of this,

3 things i love are singing, living, and God. awesome song. brian stokes mitchell is the sh- i mean stuff

  • @theonewhowillprosper 2 things

God created swears for a reason (A-hee, just kidding)

And when you sing, you pray twice.

  • Fantastic

  • Man...if only our church's choir had more people in it...then I would have convinced them to sing this song! That would be awesome!

  • I keep seeing comments on how people want to get up and dance to this, but I dance to it as soon as I hear the chorus!

  • There's so much wisdom in the lyrics... and overall tone of the song is so happy and uplifting!!!

If it were any better my head would explode.

  • I don't care how pathetic it seems - this song gave me hope when I had none as a child and teen. I'm not even religious, but this song kept me going.

  • *sigh*.. I remember watching this movie when I was 6-8 years old :').. Such nostalgia!

And the stone that sits on the very top, of the mountains mighty face.. Does it think it's more important than the stones that form the base?

  • OH MY GOODNEESSSSS I USE TO LOVE THIS MOVIE AS A KID AND I STILL DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! XD

  • a few months back i was wondering were my place was in family, life what was my role to play..and im not a gospel singing person..but i heard this small part of this song "la la la" part in my sleep and i rememered it from my childhood and i just had to get up and listen to this song (3 am in the mornign) and i think this song saved my life..i was ready to just give up..this song of all things put every thing in focus for me

  • this has always been my most favorite song of the movie :) its so cute and touching! the dance scene is so beautiful! always have to dance with them :) makes me feel happy inside. god bless the producers and everyone who sang and voiced :P love this film!!! <3

  • @WildYoungThing you would be surprised where the words of this song can take you :) amazing places nd adventures await :)
