people have to get more aggressive if they really want to work, dress to impress, attend job clubs, go in person and not just apply online for jobs. I was out of work a long time too, but I kept looking and found 2 jobs. and I live in an area where jobs are not easy to find. The Iraqi war was fought on the back of the US taxpayer and foreign lenders. Nobody really has any money to spare for such endeavours. True. But you can't keep oppressing people without massive amounts of resources. Just look at the US gov budget deficit. A fascist regime is like a cancer cell, it consumes a lot, eventually it will starve the nation of all it's resources and wealth, and then it will die.

I just started a job at half my old jobs pay because there are no jobs out there. This country has undermined the American worker and has reduced their pay and/or have added more work to there work load. DEMCAD is right, stick it out unless you have a great offer. Good luck to former managers in this recession to find employment in that field. I will start making pizzas tomorrow just to pay for my school loans. I can wipe myself with my BA.

1.5 million, huh? And then so many per month after that? Makes more sense now why they are ramping up National Guard and internment. Take 1.5 mill divide 50 states, which isn't accurate per state, but around 210,000 homeless hungry people in your state, and growing. The local police aren't going to be able to handle all that over load if it gets nuts.

That sucks. But at least you have somewhere to go. My wife and me lost our parents in the last few years. I know if they were hear we would be ok.. not good but ok.. Ya, I think we will see a great deal of civil unrest when too many people get kicked out of their homes and are starving on the streets. But I think that is what the government wants. See its just another ploy. They will get us so far into poverty and then swoop in and feed us but at the cost of all of our freedoms.

Well if we didnt see this comming we werent paying attention. No federal funding lasts forever. Im a licensed truck driver, cerified welder, and I cant find work to save my ass... Not only that I cant even get unemployment because I didnt "earn enough" in a certain quarter... that 16% may be a conservative number.

My hsbnd & I sold our mrtg'd home 2 yrs ago & paid cash for a mobile home thinking it would be safe to weather the economic storm in. He is in construction, nothing being built. State ext. unemployment is running out in Oct. I sold my home biz to buy a car & get a job, but we can't even get jobs at Walmart - they are cutting hours. If we can't make the lot rent in Nov. we lose the this home we paid for. Next stop - a tent? The streets? A cardboard box?

Friends and family need to help each other out. As for Jobs. Security might see a big boost as Grocery Stores and banks will need help as people go hungry for lack of work.

My wife is out at an interview as I type this. If she gets this new job she will nearly be making double what she has been at her current job. It still wont break the $15 an hour mark but its more money for a hard time.
