I don't see why the manufacturer doesn't just make an inflatable roll cage and some better wing deigns. If it's a criss-cross grid of inflatable tubes connected to eachother like a waffle that allows air to pass through the top and bottom it would protect the rider and allow them to still breath if they get dragged upside down for a bit.

If you don't have the power and a short rope it will just bounce around until it gets a wind gust and then flip over and snap down into the water the same as a real kite would.

Kites continue upward as long as the tension remains even or greater.

Slack off and it will fall. Increase speed too much and it will start to pitch.

If wind gusts pick it up too high you have to ease off the throttle a little at a time until it maintains a safer altitude.

Better designs have wings like the manta.

kite tubes are only dangerous if u go like 45ft in the air cus otherwise since the water is broken by the boats wake its not like falling on a hard surface. Just like skipping stones only works if the waters still hurting your self is near impossible if there's a wake. this is also why you point your fingers in a dive, simply because the water must be broken so u wont hurt yourself
