WTF? My laptop can run Oblivion on Ultra High with higher resolution without lag. It has an ATI HD3000. It runs everything high, grass,shadows,water ETC. Where is your grass?

Such a great game. Ordered this GPU and should arrive today, weird thing though is I ran this game maxed (except for AA and AF) on a 9500 gt and got like 20 fps. I saw shocked XD

I run it at the same settings and with the same GPU but with a better CPU, mobo and PSU, but it looks like this game needs optimizing, my framerate will drop as low as 30 fps outdoors which isn't bad but considering what the game is intended to look like it's a bad frame rate.

i played it on a 4250 Mobile with only 256mb gfx mem (1.9Gb was shared hyper ram, but never really used). The game looks just as good, and gave me a fair 20-25fps

@HirachieOfSociety uh, I think it uses the gpu more. The game runs fine on a dual core, I upgraded to a quad just recently and noticed no difference. It will run on medium for me on a 6600 with 30 frames, thats pretty old. I'm pretty sure new cards won't have much of a problem. For texture packs, I would be more worried about the video memory because of the textures being at a higher resolution. I would say anything from 700-1000mb being enough.

@blackbird309 ah kk thanks one problem ive had though is currently using a ATI 5770 with a q8200 stock OC'd max settings, 1920x1080 native and ingame resolution and there always seems to be slow down now i can run BFBC2 easily at 50 fps at max settings but this game is alot harder to run and its 4 years old? should i just reduce the resolution for the game or turn down some of the settings?

@sabbath465 unless your External HDD is hooked up via SATA its not gonna be a good idea to load things like games on it. It doesn't matter ow fast your computer is because it is gonna be limited by the transfer rate of the port you have hooked up. And if you are using USB then shame on you, and SATA is still better than Firewire.

@poofartass Yeh, I RMA'd my RAM after it gave me a bunch of errors, then i bluescreened again, so i chacked my timings and i notced the timings were wrong. SO i change that, no BSOD for 4 days. Then i got it again. Im using dual boot with W7 and XP and i usually restart then boot into the other. I started shutting down before booting the other and i havnt had a BSOD since, maybe it was just that the graphics driver wasnt being released properly when i rebooted and they were conflicting.

@Aflikshun the hd 5770 has crazy compatibility issues with windows 7 64-bit. This includes driver crashes, and boot crashes. It's not fun.
