I caught the tale of the report so I'm not sure if I heard this correctly. I believe the police said they couldn't put a security camera in the cell to watch her because of a privacy lawsuit filed that made them remove them.
Audio calls the husband made to the airport are now released and the husband describes his wife as 'suicidal, depressed, angry, alcoholic, emotional.' Shame on her husband for allowing her to travel alone risking her life and the lives of others.

Sounds to me like DTs, and if she was a practicing alcoholic since her teens, she could easily have had a stroke or an internal bleed. She was on her way for treatment, they said. The lack here was in medical training for the cops. She needed a hospital, not to be arrested.

Well said... I have seen the tapes as well. Apparently the people on this show seem to think that everyone being arrested just calmly puts thier hands behind their backs and turn around. It may not look pretty but sometimes the cops need to use force and it's called physical force for a reason. I'm NOT saying these cops didn't do anything wrong but sometimes they have to physically restrian people and putting a knee in a back, holding a head down etc.. is part of normal police procedure.

the 'cops' are fuked.
We need to make our airports safer, and we can start by taking such thugs off the concourse.
Perhaps in future the police dept could recruit people with intelligence.

they refused the request by the family attorny to be present during the autopsy, then returned the body over to the Family but with her brain, heart and neck pieces missing !

If you look in the video a police man did approach her and they tried listening to her, then one reached for her arm, she broke away, and that's when things got heated. The police tried to handle her calmly. when are people going to realize that you can't throw fits in the airport

Ok, woman is hysterical in airport. Did she hurt anyone? Try to hurt anyone? Steal anything? Do damage to anyone's property? Accost people? Threaten Anyone? NO!! Then why the "take down" by several cops like she was a major criminal? In past years, you could go to a cop when you're in trouble and they would try to help, not jump on you. What happened to

Strongbad believes that cops don't need to be held accountable for killing a suspect because they found the suspect to be "troubled".
Just because nobody was willing or available to help a "troubled" person, doesn't mean they weren't worthy of help.

Countries REFUSED to help Germany out of its economic trouble before the rise of the third reich, so lets not use the nazis as SCAPEGOATS. After all, they were just doing their jobs.

Anyways, I didn't say she didn't deserve help only that herself and her family chose to ignore her warning signs, she did try to kill herslef, and instead of accepting responsibility for what happened they sue. Strongboy, I was just EXPANDING your line of reasoning to it's limit. You know damn well that I'm not a goose-stepper or cop hater. On the other hand I think that your general attitude toward the mentally ill is more than a little callous. Don't feel bad, most people (myself included) can get nervous around kooks. The trick is to not jump to the worst conclusion without warrant.

I caught the tale of the report so I'm not sure if I heard this correctly. I believe the police said they couldn't put a security camera in the cell to watch her because of a privacy lawsuit filed that made them remove them.

Audio calls the husband made to the airport are now released and the husband describes his wife as 'suicidal, depressed, angry, alcoholic, emotional.' Shame on her husband for allowing her to travel alone risking her life and the lives of others.

This is coming from the medical examiner that performed the autopsy on Carol.
"Bucholtz didn't see any dot-like hemorrhages that could be a sign of choking or strangling. She also didn't see any fractures and things in Gotbaum's airways, the report said. The medical examiner did find a mark on Gotbaum's neck that was consistent with the leg shackle from the bench. "

you know I am sooo SICK and tired of the whole double standard when it comes to law enforcement - it seems as though if someone gets handled roughly by police or gets shot (in some cases) people are so quick to say that there was other ways to handle them when they were not there witnessing the incident. They only have a small timeframe to make a decicision - if they didnt shoot someone who was a danger then the complaint would be that they didnt protect us!!!! Get a life people!!
