@kurtcorris G-Force calculation comes from acceleration. Basically, Under Armour is recording your speed from one point to another. You get acceleration than divide it by gravity = 9.8 m/s^2 which will tell you your force production. It just sounds sexier than acceleration I guess. What gets me is how they can calculate the athlete's true G-force without taking friction into consideration? I can see wind resistance calculated but what if the athlete is running on a different surface?
