@ImTheSeekr usually when there's a lag on the server they look for someone who has a ping over 120 but when they see someone that has a ping lower then 20 they know that they put in this command so they kick you because your pings is not what it says it is. try cl_cmdrate 66 (that's what i us)

This by far is a script/cheat. You cant do this without your ping fucking up, or constantly being kicked. If you take a look, try to read the stuff in the console before he typed that. The server needs to have sv_cheats set to 1, therefore, it is a cheat script.

This is NOT a hack.

But this doesn't affect your ping at all. It affects how fast you communicate the packets INVOLVING YOUR PING to and from the server. Basically, it looks like you're doing things, but really it can only make you lag more.

If you put : cl_cmdrate +100 your ping will be 5 and people ban players that have that ping so I prefer the command : cl_cmdrate 0 and it should do the trick!

anyway.. some people didnt like my rates on some servers. theres no viruses/malware on my pc(clean windows install.. tried twice) so i guess the problem is either modem or reuter.. theyre 4 years old.. should i update the firmware? i usually dont update any other firmwares than motherboards..

@LowBattMouse It depends on what internet speed do you have (how many KB per second "128" "256" "512" ...) if you have under 256 your ping could be high and could not be fixed unless you get faster internet

@marsovac123 like i said in the first comment i have 10/1 cable. thats 1300kb in and 130kb out. and ping is usually fine. player list says 5-10 and netgraph says around 30. no loss. but usually within an hour it starts to raise untill i get either kicked or connection problems. hehe with this high ping i sometimes spawn half underground :)

ive tried with and without firewall/antivirus i have poked all the recommended holes in reuters firewall.

first ping is 30, in an hour its 60. during next 10 minutes it reaches 100-200. a few more minute and its unplayable.

phemon2 1075t, 8g ddr3, asus 5870 v2. 120 gb vertex 2 with only windows 7 sp1, firewall/antivirus and steam in it. and ive tried this also without firewall.

i think ill get a new modem and reuter and see if that helps.
