  • Funniest moment of the show at 2:39 when Poot says "do the chair know we going to look like some punk ass bitches out there" and then Stringer explodes in anger. Fucking lmao!!

  • The guy who plays stringer has a dirty British accent in real life haha....

  • Poor Stringer. As smar as he thought he was, he just never got it. You can't reform the drug game. His whole attitude of "running this shit like a business" was a pipe dream. Was never going to happen. His concept of a better product works in a legal business, but in the dope game? Your rep means just as much as your business acumen. Just how it is. You have to be willing to go to war at times, don't matter how good your product is.

  • @Antrizzle2009

I don't know, I think the drug game would've been more successful for a longer amount of time if Stringer tried harder to reason with Avon, rather than trying to off Mouzone.

  • haha the look poot gives to the guy on the side, just shakes his head......has me laughing every time

  • 7 niggas need to start looking at the world in a new fucking light.

  • 7 people are too ignorant to have the fuckin' floor.

  • 3:45 Shamrock almost calls Poot by the name of the actor who plays him.

  • I laughed so hard throughout this scene "motherfucker I will punk your ass for sayin' some shit!"

  • damn that dudes hairline is back like retros

  • String cool but he always wuz dissin nigga poot

  • Idris Elba (Stringer Bell) is actually British... blew my effin mind... and I though Hugh Laurie was good...

  • LMFAO Poot!

  • Product, mofuckas... product!

  • 2:37 Classic quote!

  • brilliant.

  • i love how you can rewatch scenes from a show like this and notice something new every time, like how between 1:30 and 1:40 bodie's nodding while poot's glances at the older guy to the side, and how it's after seeing him slightly shaking his head at what stringer's saying that poot gets bold enough to stand up and say the 'punk ass bithces' line.

  • Business meetings+street shit= hilarious scenes

This and the criminal fucking conspiracy scene are great.

  • Motherfucking Slim Charles.

  • Motherfucking Slim Charles.

  • Adjourn your asses.

  • Do the chair know we gonna look like some punk ass bitches out there?

  • "Does the chair know we gon look like some punk ass bitches??" hahahah poot!! hahaha

  • Comment removed

  • I probably would have flipped out to after Poot said that stupid ass shit lol

  • U cant bring business class lessons into street shit...too many variables

  • it is from which episode?

  • @freeman214214 The first episode of season 3.

  • 7 people didn't know they were going to look like punk ass bitches.

  • The chair recognizes...

  • Did"t Avon himself later admit that Bell was right.

  • dude is dope at acting

  • Why is Stringer always so mean to Poot?

  • @271peacerose cause poot was a wack asss soldier

  • @271peacerose

    Because FUCK Poot, that's why.

    ...Never forget Wallace.

  • Funny ass scene.

  • lol look at poots face when bodies talkin about lettin the faet boys there serious

  • "Do the chair knows we gonna look like some punk-ass bitches there?" hahahaha

  • "Adjourn your asses !" PRICELESS !!

  • 7 people are to ignorant to have the floor

  • I like how at 1:35 poot look over at stringers muscle that was like "hell no", he knew what was coming.

  • I dint know there was all this behind hustleling, I hope no more black men get ill over this nonsense.

  • heimdall running product in the streets. Never noticed he was drinking tea before. gangsta.

  • Stringer was such a deep character. Gang banging? Selling drugs? Just a means to an end for that man. You can't do illegal shit forever, and that's real talk. Illegal shit has an expiration date, and the longer you do it? The better your chances of getting caught. Going legit will put more money in your pocket, and your name in more mouths than being dirty ever will.

More people have heard of Bill Gates than Big Meech.

  • We need a Latino "Wire" Dave, hell with Treme

  • The chair didn't recognize 7 people.

  • Chair recognize SLIM CHARLES

  • this scene was funny as hell they made that fool bodie ask the question like 3 times then poot killed me with that shit

  • R.I.P.

  • lol poot

  • You happy now bitch?

  • Love how they applied Robert's Rules of Order

  • the end of the meeting where stringer got pissed off is a good way of showing why stringer's ideas cannot ultimately work. when it gets down to it in a black market/illegal business, it's force that wins. you can't be a black market businessman without also being a gangster. still, stringer had ideas.

  • The 7 people that disliked this, the floor didn't recognize their asses.

  • @charlestonchewy Damn straight.

  • "adjourn ur asses"

  • Stringer/Idris is so damn fine!!!

  • Stringer had the right idea about how to make money. He was just on the wrong side. He should have been east side (where there mostly concerned about profit), and not the west side (were there mostly concerned about their rep, image, and being hard) Cheese should have been on the west side

  • I am of the opinion, that Slim Charles is the best character in The Wire, period.

  • @CyJoZa sike bodie!! first dear

  • poot is funny as hell

  • Can somebody answer my question?

What did Stringer Bell wanted it? I don't get the whole "business man" thing? he wanted to be a good guy? or what? 'cause he told Avon several time that they did not need all the killing... "he wanted to legitimate the Barksdale organization" how's that?

  • @AdamLazzara77 He wanted to make a lot of money, basically. He was using the money gained from selling drugs to invest in a legitimate property empire, in order to make even more money and perhaps even go straight once they had enough of a foundation.

The reason he didn't want all the killing was because it brought attention from the police and the police have the power to shut the whole organisation down, even the 'legitimate' parts.

  • Funny how stringer ended up getting knocked by the property people just shows you those higher business people are more fucked up than the hustlers on the streets!

  • @AdamLazzara77 Stringer was the show's embodiment of a glass ceiling. Within the show, the people who pushed the drugs, the people who pressed the charges, etc. all may have changed but the circumstances did not. Stringer was a perfect example of someone who wanted to be more than what he was born into, but his inability to sever ties completely with his past made it impossible to reinvent himself. When he tried to go legit in season three through illegal means, he got screwed because he was try

  • @AdamLazzara77 ing to marry his experience with illegal activity and his more mainstream ambitions. When he asked the lawyer how everyone else got it done, he as good as told him that it was by going through the motions and red tape instead of trying to circumvent the system.

Stringer's the best character. He's really intelligent and super cool but with just a hint of insanity.

  • @AdamLazzara77 Hell nah did he want to be a good guy! Did you not notice how many hits he put on people in this show? He just wanted the money minus the po-lice problems.

  • @AdamLazzara77 Because he was smarter than Avon and he knew that they already had everything they had dream of, and could do without that 'gangster shit'.

  • @AdamLazzara77

He was trying to be something he wasnt.

  • @AdamLazzara77 he just wanted to go legit, period.. he knew him and avon had built up enough and had enough money to give it a try at least, he didnt wanna be worryin about bodies and police but in the end his past caught up with him!

  • Stringer's drinking fucking tea!! Hilarious, I loved his character. Wrap your mind around that shit. This brotha is standing in the middle of a room full of drug dealers and up and coming killa's drinking a cup of tea while discussing product! Gangsta ass CEO!

  • Product, mo'fuckas, product.

  • Skim Charles is the king!

  • Do teaching a little bit like some pope as bitches update I'm probably going to ask you

  • turn on transcribed audio LOL

  • This scene shows how upper level management never understands whats happening at ground level even if they come from there!

  • Do the chair know we gonna look like some punk ass bitches out there?

    Yeah Poot!

  • 7 people didn't have the floor.

  • stringer had a brilliant mind BUT he was in the wrong damn business. this dude's trying to be nice in a cutthroat world. that's why he got merked.

  • @poppajah exactly, i like the scene after string dies and mcnulty goes to his apartment and its filled with classical books and literature and Mcnulty says " who the fuck was i chasing?" string had his flaws but he was right in thinking big picture

  • @carlosZ1981

The biggest Irony to me is that at the end of the series, Marlo gets everything Stringer wanted, a way into the urban ruling elite, and yet he doesn't want it. Instead he just wants to be a corner boy because it's all he knows. The wire is so goddamn amazing.

  • @poppajah

He isn't doing it this way because he's nice, he thinks that he can make more money with less trouble this way. No wars, no bodies, no cops, no trouble. Stringer ate it because he tried to outsmart the wrong people, not because he was too nice.

  • Stringer was right about product; but because Marlo came into the picture he was wrong. It wouldn't have mattered how good Stringer's product was Marlo would have never taken his package.

  • @Rayman77792 stringer didn't get it. that shit that happened to bodie in season 2 should was his warning. going into other people's turf=war time. avon was right about string. dude was focused on getting green and forgot that he was in the business of death.

  • 2:38 was probably the hardest I laughed watching the entire show.

  • hell yea poot! tell stringer hes a pussy. If avon was there he would agreed with slim charles and poot! pott that dude has the funniest comments

  • "the chair aint recognized ya ass man"..

  • Stringer was gonna get it either way...thats the nature of the game!! Nobody lasts forever no matter how much we or other ppl like em!

  • Stringer trying to teach ghetto hoodlums how to behave in a legal fashion. Too funny.

  • Take em how Mr Bodie?

  • Hey@bossdj316

    1:28

Your territory ain't gonna mean shit if your product is weak.

  • Do the chair know we gonna look like some punk ass bitches out there?

  • "muthafucka i'll punk ya ass for sayin some shit!" "yo string, string" "what?!?!" "poot did have the floor" "shut the fuck up man, this nigga too ignorant to have the fuckin floor".....fuck....i;ve watched the series so many times over, but recently i've been appreciating a lot of the humour.

  • Lmmfao@Poot's question! ;-)

  • I love that its in a church

  • @missyouhoo

    funeral home, bruh.

  • Stringer was wrong. drug dealers dont have stock markets or dow kjones industrials. The only captital they have besides thier product is the fact that their alive to sell their product. If you cant sell your stuff in the streets you aint got nothing. Stringer got the bussiness world and the streets mixed up

  • @Rayman77792 This is why black drug dealers never go anywhere, while the Italians, the Irish and the Jews were able to build entire economies and empires with drug dealing. Niggas too worried about running around in the street, doing shit they heard in a rap song.

  • does the chair know that we lookin like a bunch of punk as bitches...............

  • fuck stringer....he got mad cuz deep down he knew poot was speakin the truth. that's one of the reasons marlo felt so comfortable takin shit over the way he did. stringer was good business man but did NOT no how to handle conflict. that's what i liked about avon...he was a business man and he knew how to send a message to people who crossed him and his crew.

  • @sn83

remember what avon said about stringer. he not hard enough for the criminal world, and maybe not quite smart enough for the business world.

  • @mufc187 tru dat, mentally he was week. i can understand why he wanted to avoid that gangsta shit but you can't mixed the corporate world with the streets like he was tryna do.

  • @sn83 well, not realy... Remember when did the drug trade was at this pic, it was during the co op thing, when they put all the gangsta shit aside & who blew it? Avon & Marlo... The problem here is that Bell is trying to make some dumb ass drug dealer do business other than killing each other & bringing the police... Look closely, who went to jail... It was Avon not stringer, the police had nothing on string... he was just a businessman in the street... wrong place for him

  • @jayo2k tru....like i said stringer was a business man and nothing more. my point is that was the reason marlos took over. stinger tried to mix the corporate world with hood shit and you just can't do that. stringer was to blind to realize that marlo was not tryna hear that bullshit.

  • @sn83 That's why stringer needed Avon just like Avon needed stringer, they were like Koby & Shaq, unstopable... Marlo took over only to last a few month & ONLY because Avon & Bell turned against each other... Marlo has nothing on Barksdale.. Heck nobody even know marlo, see his last scene when the youngster do not even reconize him while in jail, people stop playing when barksdale walk

  • @jayo2k yea it was so much drama goin on within barksdales crew it was nothin for marlo to take over. and yeah avon was THE man in prison just as much on the outside. with weebey, bird and stinkum out of pocket it was nothin for marlo and crew to do what they did.

  • @sn83 Sheeeeet! If Avon still had Wee-Bey, Stinkum and, Byrd around..., Marlo and, crew would've BEEN finished!!!

  • @BklynJayL lol HEEELLL yea.

  • @jayo2k Not right, on the day that String got shot they got a wire tab on him..

  • @DonNegro86 true but they got a wire tab since season 1 & they still had nothing on him... McNulty was even surprised when he entered stringer's house going like "who the hell was I chassing?"

  • @jayo2k Nahh man, they caught him on the wire tab right before he got shot. If he wouldnt have got shot they would have arrested him because of that.

  • @sn83 You can't say Stringer or Avon was wrong, but they were working against each other. A house divided cannot stand.

  • @sn83 I dont know man, String had a point. Fighting for territory does bring the cops, as it did later in the season when the bodies really started dropping. Poot is right, youll look like bitches, but the bitches with the best product would get recognized eventually. Especially if the fiends were getting pissed at the weak shit like they were in season 2.

  • @Patriots09ist yea they might get recognized eventually and than robbed fo everything they got. if not by omar then it'll be by one of them vultures out there

  • @sn83 I know a lot of people slept on this show so.... SPOILERS!

Anyways, yes your right, for the most part. Avon wasn't THAT great of a business man, because if he was he wouldn't need Stringer. The problem with Avon was that he was a true warrior till the end. Avon loved what Stringer called "Gansta Bullshit" and it was that need to fill that bottomless, bloodthirsty, void that sent Avon away to Jessup.

  • "Your territory ain't gonna mean shit if your product is weak. Go ahead and ask them mo fuckers tryin to sell them Ford Tempos and you got niggas riding around in Japanse and German cars in a America ALL DAY"

Attention U.S auto industry, WATCH THE WIRE!

  • @sn83 Man, it was just disappointing to see Stringer fall the way he did. Tried to make his criminal activities more legit business-like with product meetings and giving up territory n shit, and tried to make his legitimate ventures go faster with bribes and eventually even thought of assassination. woulda had a fighting chance if Avon and him didn't split

  • @sn83 Stringer was the business man and Avon was the killer. Stringer handled the business end of it and Avon handled the gangsta part of it. With Avon locked up, the Barksdale crew fell off on the gangsta end of it and became to soft for the game.

  • @sn83 I wouldn't say "fuck Stringer." Stringer was operating an illegal business in the fucking ghetto. The ghetto doesn't mean shit, and the people operate like fucking animals because they don't have anything. In a legitimate context, he probably would have been enormously successful. In the real business world, guns aren't exactly an option. Stringer was trying to transcend the streets. He was a thinker -- a lot more valuable than some fucking street soldier. More potential too.

  • @tremontirocks yes but in reality you can NOT mix the business world with the hood. You see how quick the tables turned when clay davis took stringers money and he went crying to slim charles about wanting him killed.

  • @sn83: Avon was NOT a business man.

  • @knight7se7en what i meant by that was that avon knew how to handle business as far as the drug game but as far as having a corporate mindset....not at all

  • @sn83 man did you just say "FUCK STRINGER"? man gtfo! that nigga (i'm white and im using word nigga, so what) ia cs still my favorite character and always will be. he was amazing not only as a character but let's say he was a real person alright... he had that crown and wore it like a motherfucking king

  • @akiddnamedalex first of all i don't have a problem with u sayin nigga....cracker lol lol. second stringer was too stupid and too simple to realize that marlo was not tryna hear that LETS ALL BE FRIENDS BULLSHIT. A young nigga tryna get in the game cares about one thing only..power and respect.

  • @sn83 Avon wasn't a businessman at all, Avon was a soldier period. I always think of Stringer as a snake...a guy who manipulated people to get money. Avon was a lion he wanted to be king and that's that.

  • The only thing that did was give Marlo the opportunity to take over.

  • poot said what avon would've, i think thats what pissed stringer off so much

  • @PurpleGiraffePG stringer got mad cos he knew poot was speaking the truth. you can have the best product in the world but if the streets do respect you then your not gonna last 5 minutes out there

  • lmao stringer don't like poot

  • If you turn on the machine transcription its fucking hilarious how wrong it is

  • "Corporate Thugs" LOL

  • String was right at the end of the day...Ok he had some disagreements with Avon towards the end but even after String died, Avon admitted String was ryt and beefin over fuckin corners is pointless...rememba String didnt get killed cuz his business rules contradicted the violence/rep of the game......he got killed simply bcoz he lied 2 Omar about some bullshit 2 wipe out Brother! - Really if String had jus hired some Eastside niggaz 2 kill Brother, then Avon and String cudda ruled the world!!

  • KILL MARLO THAT PIECE OF SHIT RUINED BARKSDAYLE'S GANG !!

PIECE OF SHIT I HATE MARLO !!!!

  • nigga, you ain't got the floor. chair don't recognize yo ass.

    a+ dialogue

  • Poot got told!

  • One thing I really hate about Stringer was how he was so blatantly using his people to make money for himself, so that he could be as rich as possible. He was a stone cold capitalist who didn't give a damn about his people. One thing about Avon was he had more loyalty to his men, and respect!

  • Highlight of the scene is Bodie's eyes when Poot said, they was gonna look like some punk ass bitches. Watch Bodie's face.

  • ' Until then Mr. Charles, we're going to handle this shit like businessmen. Sell this shit, make the profit. Later for that gangster bullshit. '

This pretty much sum's up String's character. The only people he wanted close were the people that were smart enough to not get caught up by police. Especially after Avon got caught up.

  • lls

  • "El Poducto Hijosputa" !!

  • lol free market econ 101

  • Audio transcription is da bomb.

  • @Long23 "Product, motherfuckers" all of a sudden becomes "product moral locals"

  • Stringer Bell teaching Microeconomics to Corner boys, great, wonderful, one of my fav scenes in the whole tv show. Stringer Bell was something.

  • Yo...chair ain't recognizin' your ass mang.. lol

  • Man, Stringer hurt that niggas feelings haha.

  • Turn on Audio Transcription. It's hilarious. "Product, motherfuckers" becomes "Private moral locals". :D

  • PRODUCT MU FUCKAS........PRODUCT.

  • LMFAO AT BODIE!!! MY NIGGA

  • "adjourn your asses"

  • Leave it to Stringer Bell to make drug dealers follow Robert's Rules of Order

  • this one of the best scenes

    poot did have the floor

stfu this mothafucka to ignorant to have the floor

  • "Do the chair know we gone look like some punk ass bitches out there"? LMAO!!!

Something tells me Avon would've said the same thing to Stringer.

Stringer's criminal ass got so caught up on the business end he forgot that in the Street pharmacy business you don't get fired, You go to jail or the grave. Who the hell did he think he was talking to, a bunch of MIT graduates? What was next, making them hoodlums wear a shirt and tie on the corner?

  • @tray04will

    thats...not a bad idea

  • lol @ the irony of the scene

  • lol i love the car analogy at 1:27! i think Stringer is right about product > property and Avon shouldnt have come home and got into a war with Marlo over corners.

  • Stringer Bell was wrong, in season 4 Marlo didn't get prop joe's good package and he had a cuntload of money all from the territory he was taking.

  • you just know bodie was steaming inside about all this shit

  • I can hear an English accent under there

  • Stringer's the Don Draper of the hood.

  • Stringer couldn't stand Pook! He always punk him, lol.

  • slim charles was destined for greatness. he was thinking about scenarios that stringer openly admitted he was not prepared for and had not thought of.

  • @essentialtee09 Good point. "What if they don't take our re-up though". Stringer was a smart business man, but he didn't understand that very few hustlers have the same outlook as him. Some people think by taking re-up from a seperate crew, they will make themselves look weak.

  • One of the best scenes in TV history from 2:38 lmao.

  • "Do the Chair know,we gonna look like sum punk ass bitches" lol that was funny ass hell

  • "motherfucker i will punk your ass for saying such shit"

  • i love how bodie reacts 2 minutes in haha

  • I've turned on the machine transcription just for you! Might take a while to finish processing though.

  • @JimmehAH Thank you! :)

  • @inervin The Whitest Komment U Know
