What I didn't like about the movie is that the director made it too "Disney". In the original 1994 demo by Larson, for example, you hear a song where Mimi and Roger are having sex and she says "harder, harder, I need men"...Larson's Rent was way much darker than Broadway. I understand you can't be too explicit in commercial theater, but the movie was the opportunity of bringing back that harshness. But this director deleted the harsh parts!!
I hate when the camera angled from the side when she spread her legs in front of the stage. Why is it that you have to be in the movie, even the audience, just to be lucky?
