My telak is Isaan.Yes they are Lao/Thai people.When we went to Lao.She and her mom could communicate no problem with Lao people

don't feel too bad. Although Thai and Lao are separate languages, there are many similarities in the alphabet, spelling, and meaning of some words.

lol...my mom told me that Thai vs Lao is like Amarican english vs British english...they just have different accent except the writthing is different...kindda like english vs spanish...the alphabet look almost the same but have different sound(is that true) XP

lol maybe it sounds similar to the old songs of Thai music, but the modern Thai music is famous in Japan and Golf&Mike made it even in Korea.
