Does anyone have some information about a video based on the same song that came out in 1987? It was sung by David Essex and featured a blonde girl riding her bike in a town that looked like Cambridge or Oxford. It was shown on TV when I was about seven, sometime in the 1990s, and have been looking for it eversince. I would be grateful if anyone knows anything about it.
its funny because in the song he sings "Where were the baths or bars were they taught you to swim" Which is funny because I do a lot of competitive swimming..anyway...um, go myfanwy
Iloved this song when I first heard it, great hearing it again. Davids voice and style really compliment the wonderful words of Betjamin. Many thanks.
I love this song, Going to see david in may can't wait, he's still gorgeous at 60. I am 40 and my mum is 61 and we are counting the days til 11th May giggling like school girls
Oh so luuuuuuuuuuuuuuuved this song back then. I was a fan alright back in the eighties. Im 39 now and yet still love him not that we hear hardly anything about him anymore. Been to many a concert, but this song was so sweet. Hes still a looker even now wouldnt you say, such a very gentle soul.
Well, these three clips have just finished off a perfect day ! ... It's my 40th birthday (15th) and my daughter bought me the "David Essex - Live at the Royal Albert Hall" DVD, and then I come on here and see these lovely clips as well .... thanks so much :0)
How gorgeous is this guy? and the song suits him down to the ground.. luvya David
