Mickey was always my favorite Monkee. He seemed like he'd be the most fun to hang around with. How ironic that he wouldn't say, "Last Train to Clarksville" by the Monkees".
There's so much awesomeness surrounding this commercial that it can't be covered in one response. The quality of film source is superb; it's well-written; I want those records SO bad; & considering that Micky, fresh out of the Monkees (& a steady job) but only now realizing how screwed he is, has to promote a record set that includes 2 of the best-selling songs of all time that he sang on but doesn't earn a single penny from; well, that explains why he wouldn't say the word 'Monkees', doesn't it
Hey! Hey! This is a cool clip of Dolenz in the '70s! I can't believe how many different locations they went to just to shoot a record package commercial. Great stuff!
awesome!!!!! i rember seeing this one on tv way back when im a collector been looking for this one for years 5****** & shared!!!! excellent!!! thanks for posting it!!!
I forgot all about this one. If you watch closely its actually very funny. Micky was always a hoot. Great find! Oh by the way I didn't buy the collection. That was a lot of money for a ten year old in the early 70s!
I haven't seen this for many years. I am surprised that, with all of the odd images, all I remember is Micky clinging to the ledge and the truck. I never thought I would see it again. Thank you.
I just did a double take during the clip of "Happy Together" as it looked like Micky was sitting on a bench with a *guy*...! (The wind had blown the woman's hair against her face, so it looked like a beard.)
Anyway, this is a great blast from the past. Thanks for posting it!
Man do I remember this !!! Thanks for the post !

Great spot! Good to finally see it! I've had the audio for years.
Thanks for sharing. The scrolling bug is annoying, however.
