I have a question about Presa Canario breeds I will be getting my 1st Presa pup and I what to know is these breeds act just like the pit bull breed I now own a pit bull and he is the sweetest dog I have ever own and I use to have a lab but I heard a lot of people saying the Presa breed act just like the pit breeds is this true?
Mine is much calmer than my friend's pit puppy - but they are similiar in handling just because they are built like rocks. Mine loves to climb and jump off things. And he is super friendly as long as we are with him but he is very defensive when he is alone at the house or outside - and he's only 6 mos.

niether of them were bred for fighting the presa is a cattle dog and the corso a big game hunter. much like the dogo argentino they can turn they're hand to fighting if it need's to and both are very good at it .just ask my neighbor who used to let his bullmastiff roam untill it was killed in a local park by a cane corso . both these breed's are more than a match for any pitbull no matter how game they are.

your doing my head in your so thick pits do get that big and he was full blooded both his parent's were american import's. my husband's uncle imported them and was trying to get the breed on the import list with the kennel club but the pitbull was band in britain so it all went to shit.our pit was the largest one he bred.both the parent's were big pit's the father around 60lbs
