I honestly thought that was on the PS1 or N64 for the first few seconds I saw this video. I would say it could be fun but the combat doesn't exactly look impressive or entertaining to play. Maybe if it has some other core attributes other than combat and one heck of a story line I could see this being a good game but I really of that combat isn't the focus of this game if it is like what this video shows.

@nadiros222 TES and Fallout are special cases in that the sheer volume of stuff they give you can last u over a hundred hours. For most games youre lucky to get the 12 or more hours it takes you to finish Awesome Creeper Tower. And when you get bored with that, grab a mod and/or adventure map.

@XLRO8 if you mean timeconsuming? I mean from the grinding you had to do in the other game. Lots of load and reload to get some things, and then woe when you got killed after getting something good.

This game is great, don't let the art style turn you away. It's challenging as hell and overall very fun!
Same with Recettear, which is by the same developers.

@canookify By 'weird' , you mean big eyes and fanciful hair? Yes, most games coming from Japan are fanciful, but they are not all fluff and puff HelloKitty Moe fare. Guess it is a difference in taste. Japanese gamers like colour and heroic, mythical heros to play as avatars and games where you don't just camp a corner, but skill and teamwork can make or break your gameplay. As a CoD player, guess you like a more washed out palette and lone wolf 'achievment' grabbing play style.

- It's an indie game, give them the money and resources, and they'll make it happen for YOU.
- Your comparisons are invalid. You are comparing and indie developer to a multi-million dollar developer.
- This game is relatively old, few youtubers stated that this game was released 5 or so years ago and it was translated and just released.

If I had the choice between playing for an hour this game VS. eating my own shit, I would choose to eat my own shit than play this game. Pong is more popular than this game. @GraveUypo I don't quite agree with you, as I could list off plenty of games from japanese developers that are decent. At the same time, I can't say that I know for sure what the japanese are buying. Maybe there is a push for hentai since the japanese public don't find much interest in games developed locally.
