@Danni293 Nor is Bond "use household items as lethal weapons".. biro, towel, book etc. though I wouldn't compare the two anyway. Bond has changed a lot over the years, anyway. From Fleming's adaptation it was seen as classy and cool, then in the later years with Brosnan it got increasingly cheesy but still pretty cool. With Daniel Craig, it's got soul, which is why Casino Royale was so good. Bourne is just marvellous, it's my joint-favourite trilogy next to Lord of The Rings.

If not then you have to read The Hobbit before you read the trilogy, and before the hobbit there are several other books that would be good to read so you understand middle earth... it starts with the Silmarilion and then goes on to the book of lost tales part one and two. Then it's the Lays of Beleriand and The Shaping of Middle Earth. And it finishes off with the Lost Road and Other Writings.

The first 3 had very little to do with the books. The only similarities are that the character is called Jason Bourne and that he loses his memory. There is no Wombosi in any of the books and Conklin is a friend for starters. He was part of an elite unit called Medusa and Jason Bourne was an invention to trap Carlos "the Jackel". In all honesty though, this is a rare moment where the films are better than the books.

Actually, it would be adapted from a book. After Ludlum died, his friend apparently took up writing the Bourne books. I read Ludlum's version of the Bourne books are better, though.

There are actually two follow ups to the original trilogy written by Ludlum. A guy called Eric Van Lustbader was given permission by Ludlum's estate to write more using the charecter/s so there is still scope for a Bourne 4 or even 5

They're not bad reads, although anyone who's read the books will know that the films go off on their own tangent the premises of them could be followed with ease.

Lol, I just looked at the plots in the books, the movie barely (and I really mean BARELY) even follows the plotline, it writes it's own, I'm sure it'll be safe from Eric Lustbaders bad continuation of the bourne novels... I was right by the way, Ludlum wrote 3 books, Lustbader wrote 4 more (all of them widely regarded as being terrible) Ludlum was credited in each as being the author purely because he created the story behind it.

I'm sure it will be another awesome movie now. xD
