  • japans got the idea to make katanas from kroea

  • there is no sword fighting... its just a cultural dance really.

  • Please watch this video.

    It is very interesting.

    watch?v=uQ5zOKB3yzw

  • Now that's more concrete why they never , in the history, win that of Chinese.

Such a weak and sluggish sword dance.

  • from what I've seen. Ancient korean swords were single edged but were not curved blades. Koreans did not favour mounted combat thus did not have the need for a curved blade for mounted riders.

  • Why doe he have samura swords?

  • @centraltheorem2076 Korean swords of the later joseon period were nearly identical to Japanese swords. Many Chinese swords of the later ming dynasty also took on a similar shape.

  • Traditional martial arts? No, it's nothing but a sword dance.

  • This is fake Japanese samurai....

  • They are very good at using samurai swords!!

  • So what is this style called? It's really cool-looking!

  • nice. using two swords at once is hard.

  • koukuri(korea) -> kudara(korea) -> japan

  • yes it is naot kendo or keomdo.

Double sword (쌍검, 雙劍, :ssnag keom) was used 300 years old ago in korea.

you can find more info a book called the Muyedobotongji (koreanl: 무예도보통지,武藝圖譜通志)

  • Korean traditional ???

so why he uses Japanese sword ???

  • @bosswnsket That is a korean sword. Japanese and Koreans had similar swords for a very long time.

  • @ScottishSamurai1987 At one point Korean philosophy changed and swords were outlawed/banned. This is why Korean sash, rope, and fan have mythical status. Their use and skill was very important against sword-wielding attackers, but little actual knowledge survives. The single-edged sword resembling a Japanese blade is actually found in cultures spanning from the middle east. How much curve it has is also regional. Japan continued, adding a blood grove and improved forging. But similar

  • @bosswnsket the korean sword during the 1300-1900 are curved like japanese swords but they aren't the same if you go into detail. They were made in this shape during that time, coz there were lots of japanese invasions and korea needed a style of sword to repel against the jap swords

  • @bosswnsket it a korean sword o.o

  • God the armor is beutifull.

  • this is very graceful. i like better than #2

  • Where in Korea is this? Please provide the town, etc...

  • (S)uper (U)nique (C)lassic (K)ing

  • It's my favorite swordmaster, master choi hyung gook (최형국), who I think performs at Suwon. He goes by the nickname blue monster (푸른깨비). I think he's the best in my opinion in the two sword form. I want to visit Korea just to see his performance one day.

  • is this Ye Do swordfighting?

  • This was truly awesome!!

  • Koreans also use Wodao?

    Anyway, very cool dance!

    5/5

  • This video's title is sort of misleading... I don't think a fight happened.

Least there were swords... Attacking the air... And matter inside whatever the poles were made of.

  • truly brilliant swordsmanship

  • really nice

    wow

  • i finally mastered this in sword fighting

  • Very nice *bow*

  • A very beautiful and aesthetic performance of traditional korean fighting and very elegant with beautiful music! Very impressive.

I loved to see the flow of the sword and the different tempos of the mouvements and the fast cuts. Also in harmony with the music it looked to me like he was dancing and fighting in one. Also the ancient traditional fighting dress is very nice.Sorry for my bad english in advance.

  • Lots of baseball swing techniques show to be effective.

    Love this video!

    5 stars!

  • lol hes knda true about korean guys bein homophobic hahahaha

  • wow beautiful

  • koreans are awesome

  • Japanese are so much better I love Japanese men Koreans are so homophobic!

  • don't understand y u would say that for this vid.

  • cause this is a korean guy doing korean style kumdo

  • This is not Kumdo.. Korean never do Kumdo with wearing Korean suit. We do Kumdo with wearing Japanese suit. This is other Korean sword skill.

  • doesn't really matter because the Japanese destroyed 99% of Korean sword work, all we really have is a bunch of old drawings and techniques from other disciplines

  • no1 likes gays but you asshole gtfo this video

  • Japanese are more simpler, but Koreans and Chinese are not simpler as Japanese.

  • wow that was awesome..
