I'm a current student, and I'd never seen or heard those names before this video. Don't be fooled by the way they're presented, these are not some sort of campus celebrities or generally known groups. For all I know they may have made those up on the spot when a DTH interviewer asked.

Interesting...I'm not sure if I'm amused or intrigued by the prospect of such an odd, spontaneous grasp at 15 minutes of collegiate fame. I graduated in 1992 and I have a strong suspicion that a lot has changed in terms of the social and political dynamics of the student body. Regardless, students still seem to have idealism, and that's good; regardless of what I might think about some of the ideas.

chrisrockforce and pask54 hit the nail on the head and I agree fully with their comments. According to the protesters, people against illegal immigration are "nasty and mean". The fact of the matter is illegal immigration is ILLEGAL. I brought my husband over from the U.K. and am proud to say we went through the US immigration process legally. We will never support illegal immigration.  These kids are clueless - they don't realize how lucky they have it here. Maybe they should leave the US.

-This performance was not representative of the entire University....However, if one has the right to make a speech, one who opposes the viewpoints of that speech has the right to peacefully protest in any way they desire. Its as simple as that.
