  • I know others like it, but it's not very professional David. As a pro cinematographer, I can tell you that the video is rather clumbsy for lack of a better word; and the use of transitions is poor. Additionally, the mechanical sounds/mishaps with your camcorder as the young woman exits the scene at the end is somewhat annoying.

Having said that, I will still award you with three (***) stars for creative effort and I did think the soundtract was appropriate.

    Keep experimenting.

  • i'll take those 3 stars, thanks

  • After viewing it again I still see the "college course project" in it but it's my nature to be extra critical due to my own profession.

The location of your film looks familiar. Where was it shot?

The one comment from "philerskine" who thought the old projector look was horrible just didn't get it. The old WWll black & white scratchy newsreel look coupled with the abstract soundtrack is what showcased the film's character.

  • @videoworks5

This was shot in downtown San Jose, California.

  • I love this, its different from all the shit out there. It's evocative and memorable.

  • You cant just put an old projector style look onto perfect quality film! it just looks horrible

  • Good. Very abstract, something I've never done well, even in my photography.

    Good use of sound.

David Lynch would like this, send him the link.

  • Very interesting. I really like the scratchy old film look. What editing system did you use?

  • This was awesome. I LOVED the still shots. It added so much to the over all effect of the short.

The backing soundtrack is haunting, too. Good job.

It's abstract enough without being too out of reach for people to just to watch.

  • Thank you, I appreciate your comments.

  • whaa

  • I enjoyed the cinematography but didn't get it. IT was experimental huh? I never understand experimental stuff. Do you have vimeo?
