What a colossal piece of crap that show was! I admit that I tried to watch a couple of episodes of it when it first came on, but it was too darn hard to get past all of the bad acting not to mention the piss poor inacuracies. What killed it for me (and yes I work in the field as a fulltime FF/Paramedic) was when a guy in cardiac arrest laying in water needed to be defibbed and the one guy did a handstand on the guys chest with the paddles and shocked him. Gimme a friggin break!
What a piece of crap. How completely disrespectful to one of the greatest fire departments in the country. How hard would it have been to get things accurate? If I remember right, they didn't even use a County Firefighter as a technical advisor. They used one from the City. No knock on LAFD, but shouldn't they have at least used someone from the department they were depicting?
i agree i liked the show but when they started to go towards there personial life like there love life and personal grap it went down hill from there they need to make a show that is real not some soap show its dumb when they get a good show and then just screw it up with crap

It was a joke, nothing real about it as commented by Firefighter Jim - Milwaukee, WI while on the radio station Lazer 103 Bob and Brian (as heard on their CD in 1997). I was a firefighter back then, and I never saw the second episode or there after.
Hahaha... I think my volunteer fire dept can act better then that.
