Yes, that would have maybe fit the tone better, but remember that the sequence is 6:10 long and "The Ballad of Ritchie Lee" is only 3:25. If you'd like, I can better explain how I did all of this, but needless to say, time had a lot to do with it (remember I talked about 'pacing'). Thanks!
